life saving
Has anyone's stunting skills saved there life/ from a wreck a number of times? I know that rollin endo's saved me a few times from cages pulling out infront of me. As well as pwer sliding the rear end around to keep from droping the bike. Let hear the stories.

let me paint you a picture thathat could have ended up on rotten....4 lane road, 2 lanes each way. me and my guy steve doing stand ups in the inside lane dead center of it as a matter of fact, passing cars, click 3rd. im hauling *** now... he passes one of 3 cars we had to pass on that wheelie, im coming up about 50 feet behind him when i see this bitches blinker come on. i saw her hands move (starting to switch lanes) with out checking her mirror or over her shoulder..too late.....she comes right over i see it(luckily) and lean hard right into the oncoming lane (no traffic, 2 am) and just barely miss getting clipped. she was doing 45, i was doing about 90 or 95. i was right next to her when she switched lanes almost right into me!!! to this day i dont know what made me look over at her when i did, but it saved my life. i was never able to steer a wheelie that quickly b4 this happened and i havent been able to since. luck or skill???? i say a little skill but mostly LUCK!!!!!

let me get this straight.. neither endo's OR power sliding are the fastest way to stop...
stunts will never save your life... keeping both wheels on the ground and NOT locking up tires are _THE_ fastest way to stop..
you should try emergency braking in a parking lot and find out for yourself.. everyone says that 70% of your stopping power is from the front brake(s), but there is still a whole other 30% from the rear tire that can make you stop MUCH faster..

Not true. When you are slowing down as fast as possible, there is no weight on your rear tire; but yet you aren't doing an endo. Therefore, your rear break isn't doing anything.

if your rear tire is on the ground, there is weight on it.. if there is weight on it, it has enough traction to help stop the bike..
go coast on a bicycle, and then put one foot down to stop the bike.. then put BOTH feet down.. witch stops you faster ? same principal, except to a lesser degree..
once the weight has shifted forward from the front brakes, they ARE doing the majority of the stopping, but leaving the rear on the ground in conjunction with using the rear to stop allows you to use 100% of the bikes braking power rather then only using the front and using only, what 70-75% ??
and ask anyone who can roll long endo's.. you DON'T want it to come up high if you want to stop FAST, you get it up high if you want to roll them out.. the lower the endo, the faster you stop..

Well this may not have saved my life, but it looked really good and pissed the County Cop off. Me and about 6 other friends where coming off of Hwy 501 in Myrtle Beach onto a side road. My buddy took off from the light and I was next. I popped it into 2nd and stood it up. Oh this was about 1130-1200 at night. All of a sudden a set of BLUE flashing lights appeared from nowhere about 200 ft in front of me..facing me. No head lights, nothing...just the little blue flashers on a lightbar(not the main lights) I hit the rear brakes to set down, then slammed on the front. The rear tire came off the ground, and I was still headed right for this ******** that had pulled into my lane of the road.STILL NO lights on but the blue. then his head lights came on. I have NEVER turned an endo before, but I leaned and swung the rear around to the right and missed the front of the police car by about 3in. At least thats what my boy behind me said. Once the guy found out I was a cop he knew he was screwed..What he had done was not only dangerous, but it is also very much against the law itself. Needless to say I did NOT get a ticket, cause I would have burned his @$$ in court and with his supervisor.
