I am callin BS on anyone who has a "modified oil pickup" on the gixxers at least. I have heard so much talk over the last year about them and nobody has any proof that they even exist. And looking at the oil pan, there really isnt any way I see that you can move the pickup to be in a better position for wheelies than it already is that wont compromise the pickup of oil while on two wheels. To do the job, you need some sort of dual pump system with an oil tank and bypass an oil pickup type system all together. Sorta like a dry sump conversion.

I'm pretty sure Yoshimura makes a thing that goes in the oil pan for Suzukis. Sort of like a baffle that's supposed to keep it from starving, but I haven't heard anything else about it.

I know on older 900's you need to do a pickup mod that either moves it back. Another route is to remove the cover onthe bottom of the pickup, the way it is stock it just picks up from the front, so if you cut it off it can get oil from all sides.

Not sure about the bearing thing, I'd like to know though.

How about dirt bike forks on the front and anti grav suits so you don't hit the ground when your thrown off? I'm calling on those too!

On the 900rr you need to weld a scoop on the opening of the pickup so it picks up further back (not from the bottom), and you need to grind off nubs inside the pan (for clearance) and then weld up the holes you make when you remove the nubs. It's pretty easy and works well, Ronnie is trying to sell the modified pickups so get in touch with him.

Mirror Image has been providing specialty services and parts like the ones mensioned here in this thread. Unfortunatly I have colsed the shop to persue my career, I only do work for select customers now. As far as providing a "how to" or "specs" sorry, but years of reaserch and development comes with a price.

you obvioulsy have no idea who you are talking to..i think you are the one who needs to shut up..it testing and tuning takes time and money and not everyone is willing to hand over the little secrets that got them where there at today..so on that note figure it out yourself just like we had to

ronnie reality is trying to sell the 900 modified pickup,

i have talked with him twice but havent gotten anything in stone yet, i think hes still getting them made, which is cool its so cold i cant ride now anyway. the wheel berings i beleive you can order them from any parts store you just need the specs on your existing berings, go to your dealer and ask them im sure they can order them.

i will buy the sump when ronnie gets back to me, i am runnin out of motors, i could use it. he quoted me 125 plus shipping. hit him in a pm im sure hell get back to you

what the heck does that mean?
why should i shut up joe?
wtf did i do?
i know who im talkin to and he said money talks, right?
so give me some prices! if you dont plan on sellin me anything dont say money talks!
on another note i thought that this was a message board and everyone was in a tight knit community here. how can the sport evolve when people dont wanna help other people and tell em to go figure it out yourself.....that a kinda wack attitude.
come on get real there are tons of companys that sell ceramic bearings like Boca Bearings and precision bearings. ive already contacted em and they got em......its no big secret where to get em....i just felt that id ask a pro or pros what they use before i got em,but it looks like its a touchy subject.
news flash....every drag racer in the world uses em!

on the subject of oil pickups everyone knows that newer 900s have a baffle and pickup moved back compared to a 93 900
and modifying a pickup would require it be moved to the rear of the pan and maybe add a baffle.......the point would be to have the oil pickup in the oil when it is standing straight up n down.
dosent seem real compilcated hunh?

BUT I FIGURED ID ASK a pro or pros since they may have some idea of what to do since they had been threw it or their mechanic had been threw it.....BUT once again i ASSume these pros would help a brother out(since they are people persons by nature)
and then i get a shitty answer or no answer
WHY WOULD I EXPECT ANYONE TO HELP SOMEBODY ELSE OUT FOR FREE.......GOTTA PAY THE PRICE YA KNOW! right?

If you ask a question, be ready for the answer. Let me start by saying I take my business (all of them) very seriously and have spent years building a solid reputation. I wouldn't jeopardize my reputation by posting something I don't or couldn't do. Use this for future reference.

As for the price.............PM me and we can start doing business.

i would like to know where to find ceramic coated bearings as well, is there a company out there with a website?? i'm assuming this same company would make oversized bearings too???

joe brown---how is this sport going to to go anywhere when you go off on a guy like that???? i've gone through 7 motors in the last two years......every time i ask you "pros" i get the same answer.....i don't care if you keep all your riding tips to yourself, but equipment????come on now.....that's just shady.....

ok first off there are two different modifiers for gixxer oil pans and none have anything to do w/ moving the oil pickup at all. one uses a baffel to hold some of the oil towards the front and the other extends the pickup w/ a tube to the back of the pan. i have neither and my bike is still runnin. and yes both work on one wheel and on two. fill your oil until it fills up the site glass and ride the damn thing.
