Sorry but I think that any one who says there stunt bike is worth $55,000 and has all the parts that no one else has is full of it!! Come on Tell me where all the money goes. I have worked with drag bikes and done alot with ama superbike. I know where a $100,000 goes into that. But I have never seen a stunter runing aftermarket forks such as ohlins or pm wheels any thing that was high dollar. You got some fork springs, cage,12 bar and a few engine mods. $5,000 at the most + the bike if I am wrong please let me know what I have missed. Part 4 part

damn! your the reason I couldn't find one for my RR! J/K. Did you ever try to convert your older 900 to a newer 919 style motor (96-99 style). I had a 98 and that thing had 16k miles and ran like a champ. Worth a shot to try, the older 889's usually burn up cyclinder #3 w/ no oil in em - but they got the strongest frames..................

I cant believe i just read this. i guess if your not a pro u get no respect. what happened to just helping people out. U win at the comps by riding talent ..not by helping someones engine last longer.

Heres what I think a pro is. Was that DV8Ryan that loaned part of his bike and time to Dan to win a comp. Thats fukin Pro buddy ...and dont forget it! Thats a great example of what this community was and should still be.

Just my 2 nickles

Actually, Ronnie TOOK HIS BIKE APART to give Dan the front end after dans was crushed. The whole DV8 team helped Dan ouit if im not mistaken. Def a class act! Good goin guys, acting all PROFESSIONAL

Being a "PRO" has to do with how you ride and compete! but also how you back it up OFF THE TRACK with how you act towards other riders and how you represent the sport!

putting more oil in your bike always helps, 3 years riding the same RR and only junked the motor once, and it wasnt the bearing or cylinder.

as for ceramic bearings, you dont need them. when you get to the absolute end of your bikes potential, then do some upgrades. thats like joe racer running 5 seconds faster than the leaders while on the exact same bike dropping 5 grand into the motor so he can go faster-learn to ride the bike better before you waste time and money.

as for the sarcastic comment on dirtbike forks on a bike, i've seen it on an F2! pretty dope, but gay too!

someone said something about the price of stuntbikes and heres the breakdown (who said a hundo g's??): bike 8-10k; bodywork $500; bar/cage/sliders $500; gearing $100; good tires $150.

there is nothing wrong with asking questions, and as i've said in other posts concerning the attitude of "pros" or otherwise on this site: let comments you dont like roll off your back and focus on those who are agreeable to you.

speaking for ant: he has worked very hard to learn the secrets of the trade and he makes his living off of this. he has made A LOT of sacrifices to get where he is today...maybe he came off wrong, but he is just trying to protect what is his (knowledge).

will this info change the world? no....

so here's the real world answer again: forget ceramic bearings, very few people on this site (myself included) need them. add oil to your bike if you are concerned about the motor-this is a general habit of most stunters. there are currently no mass produced oil pickups for the honda-except for the HRC one which is ridiculously priced. when ant or ronnie have them to sell, i''m sure we will all know about it.

now everybody stop whining and ride or think about riding (if you are in the sub zero New England weather!!)

LOL, what a sick joke some of you fools are! truth is, in my eyes there are only a handfull of "pros" out there, none of which posted in this thread or would come off like such a dik to someone looking for a pointer. Sure the info is valuable I guess, but you aint holy, check yourself. if you dont care to help out or say something constructive, then stfu and hump your precious mod great one.

wont it suck if freestlye stunt riding realy takes off, but everyone hates you cause your a dik?! hmm... Pauly?

Money does talk, act "professional" and you might stand a chance to make some.

so for the newer 919 models(99), the oil pickup is not a necessary mod?

Ant I know u know business and ull understand what I mean..............When i walk into one of my customers houses and i know more about plumbing than him I cant make him feel like a moron or nan idiot or tell him "stfu and let me work or figure it out yerself" that would affect my bank account negativly! But I can show them how i did it explain to them why i did it that way all the while charging them hourly knowing full well that i did it right the first time and this homeowner will never need to have it redone again....................but will remember my name the next time he needs some other plumbing problem fixed and fixed correctly and courteously!
All goofy **** aside, I actually can feel every word of that post, and I especially agree with point 5, those are words for any professional to live by.

uhhh yeah, i have ran the newer 900rr motors, the famed 919.....i blew those up too.....2 of em, the rest were the 893's cause that's alli can afford, and if you think there is a difference, there isn't...they all blow the same---#3 rod bearing.

there def IS a difference, the '95 and priors are more susceptible to blown 3rd cylinders.

do you leave your motor filled to stock specifications?

do you rev the motor while it is on its tail?

do you drag on the tail endlessly over and over?

if you answered yes to any of these questions, you have found your problem. i lasted three years on two motors....i'm still on the second one and one of my favorite crowd pleasers are ENDLESS REV LIMITER COASTERS!!!

i overfill my motor and dont scrape it for distance, and more importantly, dont do 12v burnouts....

but, i guess you and ronnie reality are in the same boat=garages full of blown RR motors!! must be the rider

peace, love, and chaingrease!
