If you crash hard enough to brake a mount...then b glad u had a cage cuz it would cost a lot more if you didn't. U can usually just weld the mount/crack up.

I have never heard of the RR frame crackin the frame mounts from sliders or a cage..maybe motor mounts on an RR but this is not unheard of. If you crack you frame from a crash then the bike is prob junk anyway.

TEACH C6 will become famous soon enough
cracked frames are inevitable if you are going to repeatedly toss your junk, cage or no cage. they are also no big deal to fix and the overall strength of the frame is not compromised enough to be deemed unsafe....most everyone i know who crashes a lot, or even just wheelies a lot, has a cracked frame which has been fixed-myself included.

get the cage if you plan on tossing it away repeatedly...

I've got a billet case cover on my 900rr and nothing else. I've seen both cages and sliders do damage to these frames. Especially the right motor bolt breaking off and getting stuck in the motor, (happened twice) once this happens and you're missing a motor bolt the frame usually cracks. Hey if you break stuff anyway why spend money on a cage? Do what you feel is right but I don't think it's worth it.
