Yeah pep boys should have Water wetter. Any decent speed shop or bike shop should have "Engine Ice" too, it comes in a half gallon jug and is a blue liquid. Has NO anti-freeze proerties in it though...
As for the oil, I don't really know. 10-40 wt. oil will run at 10 wt. when hot and 40 when cold. So they way I ride, my ****'s ALWAYS hot, so with 20-50, I know my oil's still got a good 20 wt. vicosity... which would be the same as 10-40 under normal riding conditions.
Then again, what the **** do I know? I may be wrong, somebody please tell me if I am. I destroy bikes for fun... LOL
But Mobil 1 Motorcycle oil is the best **** out there from what I know....

You are incorrect. The first number is the cold number. A 10w40 pours like a 10 wt. when cold and acts like a 40 wt. when warmed up. Also the warm wt. should be at normal operating temperature not just when super hot.

Damn, you're right. He're some info on oil though...
QUOTED from another site: "Viscosity Index is an empirical number indicating the rate of change in viscosity of an oil within a given temperature range. Higher numbers indicate a low change, lower numbers indicate a relatively large change. The higher the number the better. This is one major property of an oil that keeps your bearings happy. These numbers can only be compared within a viscosity range. It is not an indication of how well the oil resists thermal breakdown."
"Very few manufactures recommend 10W-40 any more, and some threaten to void warranties if it is used. 20W-50 is the same 30 point spread, but because it starts with a heavier base it requires less viscosity index improvers (polymers) to do the job. AMSOIL can formulate their 10W-30 and 15W-40 with no viscosity index improvers but uses some in the 10W-40 and 5W-30. Mobil 1 uses no viscosity improvers in their 5W-30, and I assume the new 10W-30. not really, the crank may have excess windage which could cost a few horses but your motor will always be lubricated. The only problems i can imagine might be oil leaks or something similiar but i've been runnin an exta qt since i bought the bike new and everything's still cool
