Stunting at the dealer

Stunting at the dealer
To all you bad asses out there who find it necessary to do wheelies in front of your local dealership: STOP!
I love doin stunts too and I love to show off just like every other stunter, but I don't think it a wise idea to be beatin on your new bike, or any bike still under warranty where our General manager and Service manager can see you. Factories will look for anything to deny your warranty claim. So your new Gixxer blows 2nd gear and u bring it in for service, if the boss saw you wheelie that bike even once, you're fucked.
All I'm sayin is wait a couple hundred feet,,after that,,wheelie all u want.

u think ZUKE waranties are bad yamaha aint all that great either......... My buddy blew his motor, yamaha told him the only way he had a chance for coverage was if he paid to have a yamaha dealer tear it out tear the motor down and send all the parts that were bad to yamaha for inspection. They woul inspect them to see what the cause was ie//abuse (duh of corse) or mechanical failure. then yamaha said they would send back new parts that they felt were necessary or covered and the bad parts that were not necessary to be replaced or covered. He did get everyting covered but it took pretty much all of riding season (about 4 months) and he had to front the money thenyamaha reimbursed so basically if they said no he would a been stuck with the bill to rebuild a motoon a 0ne yr old bike!!!

I guess I shouldn't have said that Suzuki warranties are bad, it's just that they are the least likely to approve a claim that involves the transmission or internal engine parts.

IMHO:
They all suck. You are creating more work for them, and they will get out of it if they can.
I feel that Honda has been the worst. They are like "It is a HONDA, duh. We don't ever mess up." Hmmm recall on the 99 F4 cams, all honda's blowing the reg rec, (they did change the design for '03 models) etc. CBR1000 cam chain tensioners.
Yamaha R1/R6 2nd gears get done here in my town pretty easy.
Kawasaki's with tranny problem have trouble getting anything done.
Suzuki with the cam chain tensioners get done regularly (they are cheap and easy, plus engine blows if they don't). They have paid 1/2 of the 2nd gear issues I have seen
FWIW, they all will make it difficult on you.

what happens w/ suzuki 2nd gear?? me and my crew all roll suzuki's and they are all 2001 up...mine is the newest and i have 8000 very hard miles on the thing and i don't have any problem, neither have my buds and they have ova 15000 on theirs (and that is a much harder 15000 then my 8000) and we don't have problems...also i work at a shop (not a dealership) and i've never seen a modern suzuki come in w/ a problem
maybe my area gets the the good suzuki's..i love workin at a shop cuz even tho my bike is a stunt bike i can still get it warranties thro the people i bought it from it's great even tho i haven't needed it yet...they told me no problem they don't care

But you can tell them that Yamaha advertises doing wheelies on the R1...have you seen the commercial? Right at the end the guy comes out of a corner and brings it up a little
