well, nothing compared to what you guys hav had, but I've broken/sprained the same left ankle twice, on two different occasions. (needless to say that ankle will never be right again). I tore a good portion of my skin off my back when I lost a corner going downhill mountain riding on a fine gravel area, torn up my shins bad numerous times from the pedals and brush wacking them, um, cuts, crapes, and bruises too many times.

Dizzo From Scooter Trash got his finger cut off... He went down to pick the bike up and stuck his hand in the front sproket on accidnet..... That cover was on there for a reason... Worse thing we had to shows that day.... it happened at the first one...
