Who's runnin dirtbike bars??

Question for the guys who are actually running dirtbike bars:

do you think they are worth switching over to? i'm currently tearing my bike down to nothing and rebuilding, want to do some upgrades in the process. I love clipons, but am considering going to MX bars.

Any downsides to them that you have come across? Bike does not go on the street at all, purely stunt bike. So streetabilty is not an issue.

Thanks!

I'm using dirt bike bars on the gixxer and on the SV.

I even race a couple CCS races with the dirt bike bars and didn't mind it.

It's way easier and more comfortable to wheelie. I think.

Try it!

My friend made top clamps for the gixxer. Check it

dude .. on my gixxers, and Im sure most other bikes, you can just loosen the clip ons and turn them outwards .. if you turn them all the way out, they are VERY close to being the same as dirt bike bars ... but with no real mods!!! stunter tip!!!!

you'll have leverage but they don't put you the 5" or more of added height you get with dirtbike bars. that's what gives a lot of wheelie help.
