Everyone tells me to take two suck-it-ups and drive on.
Naw man, I don't know what to tell ya. My wrist and ankle
are still hurtin from two weeks ago. But since the bike
went into a tree after I fell off the damn thing, it cracked the
front rim giving me time to heal cause it took me this long
to get a new wheel. So by the time I get the bike fixed,
I should be ok. It just takes time.

a sprain is the stretching and/or damage to a ligament... the greater the stretch the more the damage, pain and potential weakness to the ligament... mainly u need to keep the swelling down... Aleve(naproxen) 2 tabs in the morning and 1 in the evening ice every 20 minutes for two hours every night until swelling subsides... this help keep swelling and inflamation down both of which are the main causes of pain and permanent damage... i know everyone likes to stay tough and not do anything... but which would u rather do sit on the couch or go out ridin'??? make sure u wrap up ur knees and/or ankles, cause once something becomes sprained there is a greater chance of reinjury since the ligaments have already been stretched and damaged.

bikerboy has a spectacular aura aboutbikerboy has a spectacular aura about
their right.

I tore some ligaments (3 ) in my foot and everyday still got out there. It just hurt like hell when I was getting back and had to park my feet at a stop light. I had to lean it on my left leg to prevent to much damn pressure.....

Do like Nike,

JUST DO IT and don't do that again (or at least try not to).....

you guys are giving bad advice...if you hurt yourself you have to give time for your body to heal....if you are ignorant now and dont take care of your body you will regret it the rest of your life.

ya, you need to take care of yourself. i broke my ankle not too long ago, but i was out riding that night. now, i wasn't putting weight on it and i attached my crutches to my bike, but that's how it's gotta be done.

basically, if i'm hurt, i make sure i don't hurt that injury further. like, if you wrist hurts, and you are doing stoppies and it cuases it to hurt worse, don't do that anymore. do what you can within your limits. if you have pain, that means you are doing bad to it.

JPratt can only hope to improve
Same with me, I was in a car accident and f@cked up my pelvic. Started walking on my leg(and trying to run)way before it was fully heeled. Never did none of my therapy work-outs at home. And now my leg is still weak and gives me slight pain from time to time.

So let you body fully heel up before you got out and mess it up more.

1 down 10 up. that highchair was second gear snapped it up from a dead stop. i think in that pick iwas probably doing around 30mph about medium speed. i was working on balancing them and trying to keep them slow but i didn't want to risk it with the current injury. i can keep them steady about 45, 50 on the highway if i have a good straight. chad was beside me and he got me a little over a mile doing a gansta at 55 mph. ganstas are easier to steer so i can ride them longer...i have no leverage with my highchairs and tend to drift one way or the other.
