So in other words you are going to make their credit card payment? You do understand that this will:

1. Take forever to pay off
2. cost you $30k for a 600 gixxer.
3. really suck (for your parents) if you crash the bike.

Get an old beater, get some skillz on it, and THEN consider getting a new bike.

Even better, get some credit, buy your own bike, now you can tear it up all you want...

Credit cards suck, even if they try to tell you some "we are only 13%" bs, it's just that, bs, they have a daily periodic rate that keeps pushin up the balance, you'll pay and pay and at the end of the year the balance will only be slightly lower.

You can say something like "I'm gonna pay extra on it and knock it out fast!" well, that might work on a standard auto loan set up for 6 years, but on a credit card loan it doesn't help very much, the daily periodic rate doesn't recodnize you paying extra, only the balance remaining. Before you alienate yourself from your parents on such a purchase, think it over, get an older bike, and stay out of the poor- house.

I'm not trying to hate on ya. I've just never seen a credit card motorcycle purchase go good. I have friends that have done it, through the dealership even, now they have put what money they have left together, and hired a lawyer, to try to get them out of a "crap" deal. $350 per month for a new katana, which has no payoff date in site. $450 for a new 600 gixxer, again, no payoff date in site. It's outragous.

I had a huge credit card problem once, I finally got rid of my last debt about a month ago. Why do you want a nice new bike anyway? There are a ton of beat up bikes on this site alone that are perfect to learn on. That credit card idea is insane and I can't believe your parents would go for it.

Dude, I see I'm not the only one that was against your credit card bike/stunt team. Don't take it hard at all, these guys and myself are just looking out for you.

It's great that you have a quad, now get a used motorcycle and have a ball.

As far as starting a stunt team goes... it'll start itself.

Start showing some skillz on a bike, then invite guys to start riding with you, set the same time and day each week, pretty some the numbers will grow and somebody will say "let's get matching shirts..." The group sort of forms itself without ever having to run the first ad. The process will be fun, and relaxed if you don't rush it. Buying a new bike on a credit card... not fun.

many good points but, credit cards suck, i have 9 of the blood suckers, all my bikes are paid off and i still owe like 10+g's, but a new bike+a new rider+a new rider who wants to stunt=a crashed bike worth dick and a giant credit card bill, but good luck
