Show me the money
Guys like Matt Gorka, Thew, Ant, Woods (Free that ****** already so we can continue raping, pillaging and plundering) and even Ronnie (You out for self bastard) have inspired me beyond belief to make great art.
Their friendship, drive and dedication to this sport have pushed and driven me to go the extra mile, to take chances (Lord I hope I don't get hit by another bike) and do the best I can for myself (F*uck you pay me) and this sport that I love. The Stone Brothers owe these guys so much It can't be put into words. They are pioneers in this sport and have worked so hard at their craft they deserve to be compensated.
And I know when the call goes out you ******* are down to hit the streets like the old days.
All you up and comming crews out there "Bringing it" lets get it on !!! Nothing but love. "Don't forget the struggle, Don't forget the streets"

I know I'm chiming in a bit late here but this thread hits close to home and I just read it for the first time...
First off, it's so funny how people change their tune when someone steps up to the plate..... at least we know who the leaders and followers are around here.
Secondly, this subject ALONE is one of the main reasons the original DTE doesn't exists anymore. We decided as a whole (minus one) that it's just not worth it for us anymore. In 2002, we somehow managed to travel to Florida (twice), Indiana (twice), Oklahoma, Texas, Ohio, New York, New Jersey (twice), Long Island, Pennsylvania (twice), Vermont, Maine, West Virginia, Connecticut, New Hampshire (twice), and many local shows. We spent all our money, time, and health on helping this sport get off the ground..... Now mind you we all have careers throughout this. I am an Art Director, Chris is a Teacher, Damien is a Licensed Plumber, Johnny was a Software Programmer, and Chauncey wore diapers but that is besides the point..... we all have careers that require some major attention... especially to excel within. It was weekend after weekend of traveling in 2002. I remember, we had it down to a science..... Thursday Night was packing the trailer, Friday (right after work) we would leave to drive all night, Saturday (sometime in the morning) we would arrive just in time to qualify / setup, Saturday night we would party all night, Sunday we would compete, Sunday night - start the drive home. We would end up pulling into our driveways just in time for a shower and then head out to work. I know what you're thinking, "Why not take some vacation time?"... YEAH, we used it all up doing shows, or bike week, or something pertaining to bikes. Oh yeah, we did 6-7 bike expos promoting.... it just never ended. Where do you draw the line? My family didn't know me anymore, my girlfriend didn't like me / never saw me, my job was in jepordy, all my friend never saw me, I was always tired, I just didn't care about anything else. All my spare time was invested into riding. I'm done with that. I drew the line.
Now, don't get me wrong..... we all still ride, we still do shows, we still compete in comps (worth the investment), and we still have plans for making a kickass video, website, shirts, etc.... we've just learned to do them at a slower pace. We're learning to control ourselves... keep everything (life / self responsibility) in prospective.
The train is bound to come in someday and if we're still at the station with the rest of you when it comes, we may just jump on. Until then, let's ride, have fun, keep it in prospective, and make it worth what it's ACTUALLY worth. Until then... keep it up and keep it straight

WOw well said brian, Just like him XFR is in the same boat. I can't belaive how much we traveld this year, by our selves or with c6.
As much as you guys love this sport we all do too. but there is a time when to draw the line, and we will always stand behind and support the ones who help us and also the leaders in this sport.

BTW, We haven't given up if that is what I implied. In 2003, C6 attended and organized over 18 local events.... nevermind the events Chauncey has attending in Florida and outside the US. As I said, we still love what we do. We still enjoy the challenge, the respect, and feeling of accomplishment that it makes you feel inside. We've just chosen to concentrate more locally. Country-wide concentration isn't needed like it has been in previous years. Almost every area of the country has a stunt team so traveling isn't needed like before (unless you're being paid to represent this community... therefore worth the extra effort).
I think each team should concentrate more locally so as a whole the sport will grow nationally.

I ment no disrespect though. I can see all he has done for this sport, a true pioneer. You guys do things that I will never be able to do, mainly because my fear and sanity level is not as extreme as yours. Yet I love motorcycles, and have been following stunt riding ever since I saw the star boyz tape at a local bike shop. I just want to be involved in stunt riding as much as possible, yet I know I will never reach a professional level.
Just keep at it, the day WILL come when stunt riding will be seen as a sport. Remember when the only Motorcross trick was the Mcgrath whip? When people realized that you can go even crazier on a dirt bike they did, it took awhile for that to get noticed, but it did. So I think it's only a matter of time before stunt riding becomes a respectible sport.
