Blowing tires
I have a guestion, I'm starting burnouts and I can get tires but how do you get around the 20 or 30 bucks to have it put on. Not that I am complaining about the price but I'm sure someone get around that. I don't think anyone wants to give away 30 bucks a week (more or less)!!!!!!

have one of your friends help you, I used to help SillyG put on tires, I think we put on 3 new rear tires in about 2 weeks
BUT if your gonna put it on by your self or with a friend or too, you better have a crappy rim, or some spray paint cuz its gonna get scratched up

C'mon Jesse!
Change that damn tire yourself, it ain't hard!
Get a set of spoons and come over the house with a spare tire around your waist and I will show you how, should only take about 30 minutes from start to finish and you'll be on your way.
Seriously, last time I was at Lakeland I changed one right there at the track. With the tools it's cake. I even have a simple way to prevent from scratching your rim. :D
Get in touch with me.
Oh...I am on my way to ride right now, down to where Gary and Jimmy said they would be today, if your there I will explain it to you. If not, call me.
Later.

breakin the bead
easiest way i found to break a bead believe it or not goes as follows..................lett all the air out (duuuuuuuuuuuuhhh) put a towel on the ground (preferably one of those soft cushy ones moms only lets company use) near a solid object like a curb, lay the rim/tire on the ground on the towel, then get in your car or truck and drive up to the rim (make sure u approach on the drivers side or it can get real ugly real quick, this way you can see the rim/tire and where u are going to drive) veeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyy slowly drive onto the tire..very important drive only on the tire unless u wanna make your rear rim all good to mount front tires on, as u creep foward tur your front wheel to almost drive around the rim u will here a pop (thats thebead breaking if you didnt remove the valve stem insert if u removed it u wont hear a pop but u will be able to see the tire come off the bead) then slowly back off the tire, get out flip the rim and do it again to the other side. I know it sounds crazy but ive tried pretty much every other way suggested to me short of buying a tire machine and this is definatly the quickest and easiest............................or u can go to the local bar bring home that drunk 500lb. biatch and tell her uve got all u can eat pudding for her if she just bounces up and down on that tirre:p

they have hand bead breakers too. we have one. it is primitave but it works. it just sets on the bead and gives you more leverage. and there have been times that we have set the bead w/ a bicycle pump. it doesn't matter as long as we can ride.

c-clamp
that is a good idea but ur gonna need a few of them the bead wont break if u only put pressure on one spot and make sure the hadle that u turn to make the clamp tighten and loosen is very strong and long because ur gonna need alot of leverage. they actually make a bead breaker that i had purchased at one time from my local nike dealer it looks like the cross section of a clam sorta only problem was it was only good for tires 160 and smaller. anyways just tryin to give some helpful advice but let me know if u find out a better way than i have...........oh and as always KEEP IT ON ONE WHEEL:cool:

The best way to break a bead with no real tools is to get 4 2x4s about 2 feet long each. Arrange 3 of boards in a triangle and lay the rim on the triangle. This way your rim doesnt touch the ground, the wood wont mess up your rim. then take the 4th board and lay one end on the tire about a quarter inch away from the rim and the other end of the board on the ground.. Jump waay up in the air and land on the board and the bead will break.. Now do the same to the opposite side of the tire, flip it over and do the same thing and then you are ready to break out the irons.. or screwdrivers if you are ghetto like me.. :p

oh and another thing after the bead is finnally broken (which ever way u do it) spray the sidewalls of both the new tire goin on and the tire commin off with either armor all or windex with bleach (i prefer the windex with bleach because its very slippery and it comes of the tire just by drying, armor all stayin on a bike tire is a bad thing) alos spray the rim. it makes the tires slip on and off alot easier. Weve done this and actually were able to mount a tire just by starting it halfway with spoons then stepping on the other side of the tire and it just slips on. whatever u use though make sure u clean it off before u ride on the tire!

I use my ramp board for my trailer and 2 short 2x4s.
Lay the rim on the 2x4s with the wood on the outsides of the rotor so nothing touches the ground.
To break my bead, remove the valve core empying the air out and then place the egde of the board at the edge of the rim where it meets the tire. Then jump on it the board and it's broke, sometimes takes a few jumps but it goes pretty easy.
Turn it over and do the same thing on the other side.
Get a set of good spoons, 3 is best and go to town.
When I do another one in a couple weeks I will take pics for ya'll.

I'm not sure how he does it, but I've been with Brock from XXX and seen him change his tire by himself in a matter of minutes... At night in the dark no less.

breakin the beads easy
ok nowlisten up you can break the beads in one simple step. lay the rim next to a motorcycle (not yours cause you have no rim) right next to the kick stand (make sure kickstand is down)lean the bike over untill the lip of the kickstand is almost wedged inbetween the rim and tire and lean the bike hard on the tire and walla walla the bead is broken .......this step takes mabee 30 seconds to do flip rim over and repeat

THE REAL DEAL
step 1: go buy an ATV bead breaker and some "teflon rim savers"--these clip over the rim so you don't scratch it for about 90$---total. (i'm not sure who makes it, but its got two handles and a rim-stay.)
step 2: take the rim-stay off the tool. " hit the nearest person with it as hard as you can ( for not thinkin' of it first.)
step 3: take wheel off bike and remove valve.
step 4: get a piece plywood to lay the rim on.
step 5: use bead breaker to break both beads.
step 6: use a spray-bottle consisting of water/dishsoap to spray both bead surfaces.
step 7: use tire-spoons to work the tire off.
step 8: wipe down the inside off the wheel including bead surfaces.
step 9: get tire to be put on ( blow it out with compressed air) and spray the beads with the water/soap mixture.
step 10: work the tire onto the rim ( you might get the first bead on without spoons--depending on brand of tire.)
step 11: finish putting tire on rim. replace valve. set beads with air.
step 12: replace wheel/tire on bike and tighten axlenut. NOW FIRE THAT BITCH UP AND BURN THAT *****-F$CKER OFF.
step 13: repeat steps 1-12 as many times as needed!!!

after you blow rear tire, keep on burning tire tel there is nothing left. then all you have to worry about is putting the new tire on.
If you dont want to do that, just ride your bike with flat tire, make a few turns, tire will eventually come off the bead.
much easier the first way. and a few scratches on your rim doesnt hurt anything. its a stunt bike, blaze it with some spray paint.....good as new!!!
