What gearing for a katana
I just bought a katana for pretty cheap
93 600
and it doesnt have a chain or rear sprocket.
how many teeth on the sprocket would be good for stunting, this heavy pos.
also how much would a sprocket and chain cost. thanks

around $150 if you go cheap.
Go up 5 from stock if you are new to stuntin, that'll get the bike up, but won't be overwelming. A katana huh?... hmm...
I'm not sure how much clearance you'll have for "big" sprockets in the back. You might want to talk to a dealership that has one sitting there with a stock sprocket, so you can measure and see how close you are to rubbing the case and stuff like that.
If the back sprocket is missing, it leaves me wondering how good of condition the front is in. You might want to replace both and strt with a good set. If you are new to stunting (I don't know this obviously) you can go -1 +3 even!
One of the "boyz" (other E) had a crap katana, and even stock, started getting up some wheelies, so keep the faith...

i went one down on the front and didnt notive much difference. as you probably already no the can o tuna isnt the best bike for stunts however, if you can learn to stunt a kat anything else should be easy. I can clutch mine up but i too much of a p$$$y to try and find the balance point. good luck and keep me posted as far as how many in the back you'll go up. try -1 up front and up four in back. the only down side is i'm guessing you'll top end may be gone. also 1st gear may become so short thats its not usable.

OH, All you have to do is throw some stock gsxR 600 chain and sprockets on it. Then after that grab a gsxr 600 frame and motor and throw it in there, after that go head and grab some gsxr 6oo plastics too, those will really help it wheelie.
