you gotta read this whole thread page by page to pick out the useful bits of info in between the playground arguments.

to the best of my knowledge the oil pickup is in the front of the oil pan/resevoir on the SV so when yer whillyin' the motor gets hungry fer oil. wheelies under and up to 1/4mile shouldn't be a problem as i've done them with no worries. i run a little extra oil (just above the site glass).
i dont hit dem 12's yet so i can't comment on that. 10:45 is about as high as i go. i've heard on the racer boards that there is a way to extend the oil pickup so it gets oil from the back/rear of the resevoir, though i dont know how to do this. check out www.svrider.com and search the boards. they're not that big on stunting, so be patient.
hope this helps.

Don't know about the SV, but if you over fill the TL it has a self-leveling unit: it pukes out the side and fills the air-box on long wheelies. There's a post on TLplanet.com about fixing the airbox broblem though (if you encounter it). Just search for "oil reservoir"

Re: stunting a 650svs?

Just a quick ? I'm a newb so bare with me. I just got my new 04 Sv650s about a month ago. Just wanted some tips on riding a wheelie. I can get the wheel to come up a little when I hit the gas in first then close and hit the gas again. But I can't get the wheel up any higher than maybe 6 inches or so. Do I need more throttle? Sorry if the post was long.
