steel plates for boots
I am looking for some help. I have been given several numbers but no one has been able to help me. If anyone knows someone out there who makes steel plates for the bottom of boots ( so I can skitch behind the old bike and throw up a few sparks ) please let me know. Thanks a bunch!

Try screwing a bunch of those ice racing quad's tire studs in to an old pair of tennys. That would work for skitching off the back where you can tread lightly. We use to stomp beer botle caps into our shoes. They would spark for a while (until they poped off).

That is not a bad idea, but we were looking for something a bit more permanant that will wrap up around the toe. We have had places say they can help us but have had very little luck actually getting it done.
Hunter and I have a bunch of sking/skitching tricks we are working on and we are struggling without something on our boots that free us up a bit! When you plant, your feet just fly out from under you...makes it real hard to get back on the bike.
Thanks for the input, I might try it just for the sparks! HAHAHA!!!

I tryed screwing titanium plates to my boots and it works really good but the rubber on the bottom of my boots turned into a soft melty kind of goo.TIP, dont walk on carpit after you do it. Im working on a strap on type of sandel now so everyone can use them. Use the 12 bar method by bolting two pieces of metal but put a piece of wood on top of the too pieces of metal and put a couple of straps on top of that to attach it to your boots. But dont blame me if you eat concrete. sking is dangerous, THATS WHY ITS SOOOOOO MUCH FUN!!!
Be cool  , Ride safe:helmet , And ill catch ya later

Going sideways is hard. your feet tend to come uot from under you. So if you want to go sideways keep the skies strait. My ultiment goal is to do a captin america behind a bike.
But ill probably get more roadrash trying.

OK - if you guys want the in on skiing - here is the way to do it...
First get you some peices of titanium - 1 inch wide and 3-4 inches long. 1/8" or 1/4" thick - then drill two holes in it and counter sink the holes. Then use a flat head screw so that it is flush with the titanium.
Then screw them into you shoes or boots - on the heels only !
It will take a little practice - but you can feel it when it scrapes.
Do not do it for very long periods of times due to the high heat levels - at first. Once you learn that it only takes a little part of the titanium to make lots of sparks - then the metal will last for a while and you will not melt your boots.
The problem is that when you first put it on and you see the sparks - well you do it for like miles and push hard so that it really sparks. That is what Hawk is going through right now.
It is kinda like when you first drag a knee with the knee pucks on your leathers - then that is all you do and you burn up a bunch of pucks.....(see attached Pic) that is me #223 back in the day.
Sandles work - but only at stunt shows - Patrick of Sportbike Hype made a pair - but that is the only time he can use them.
This is why we put them on the heels - so that we can still walk and ride.
Hawk may be able to send you some peices of titanium - but that would be up to him.
Hope this helps -
