I've been running a F.I. cage fro about 6 months, I have dropped my bike about 50 times, worst thing to happen is the cage bolt ripped out once, I called Tim he replaced it for $30, I'm not saying thats a good thing, but that's a small price to pay considering any ine of those crashes without a cage would have cost me a hell of a lot more money without the cage. my only bitch is that Tim hasn't started making 12 bars for the F4i yet

WHY BUY SOMETHING YOU CAN MAKE ?
I PAID ABOUT $13.00 FOR SOME BOLTS N **** TO MOUNT THE CAGE UP. AND MADE IT FROM SOME XTRA HALLOW TUBING WE HAD AROUND THE SHOP. COUPLE OF BENDS AND SOME TESTING FROM A THROWDOWN FROM STRAIGHT UP ...WE HAD TO DO A LITTLE REMAKING TO TRANSFER THE WEIGHT TO BE ON THE LOWER HALF OF THE BIKE. BUT ONCE WE FIXED IT ,,,,IT LOOKED GHETTO AS HELL. !!!!1 ....
GONNA REMAKE ONE THAT LOOKS A LITTLE MORE LIKE THE RACING 905 CAGE SO IT DOESNT STAND OUT AND LOOK AS GHETTO...SINCE I HAVE A WARRENT AND NO LIC....AHH BUT THATS ANOTHER STORY.... OH YEAH A LITTLE TIP(S) IF YOU MAKE ONE MAKE IT AS CLOSE TO THE FAIRNINGS TOWARDS THE BOTTOM OF THE CAGE AND GRADUALLY MAKE IT FURTHER AWAY AS YOU GO UP ,,,SO AS TO KEEP ALL THE WEIGHT ON THE LOWER HALF SO THE BIKE DOESNT ROLL OVER ONTO THE TANK AND ECT...
AND.....WHERE YOU MOUNT IT TO THE FRAME AND ENGINE WE USED SOME CUT UP PEICES OF OUR OLD FRAME SLIDERS (THE PLASTIC KIND) IN BETWEEN THE CAGE AND THE FRAME /MOTOR MOUNTS.. AND DON'T FORGET THIS IS OUR FIRST TRY AND IT WILL LOOK ALOT DIFFERENT NEXT TIME NOW THAT WE GOT ALL THE BUGS OUT. AND YES I AM FUKING CHEAP !

all this talk about which cage will or wont break. well , the fact is , if you crash hard enough something will break , if it aint the cage , it'll be your frame. someone make rubber stunna frames

there has to be a weak point...make the cage stronger than anything, that's great, but something is going to give in a crash and if it's not the cage, then it's the frame/motor. i'd rather have my cage destroyed than my bike. that's why IRL cars explode when they hit the wall, they are made to take the impact so the driver doesn't.
