Well I am more or less looking for insight from people who Have F4Is with cages on them. I have herd of other people with F4Is haveing problems with the bolts ripping out and the cages folding into the case cover.

.

What's up Andrew!! Glad to see your riding again.
As you know I have the FI on my 954 it works wonders for saving levers, pegs, pedals, etc..Stuff that the might get over looked with the very tight package of the 905 cages. but.........

Due to a crashed that ripped out the threads on my left side. I had it put back on barely with the threads that were left. All I did was run a longer bolt. Big Mistake. I crashed a 12 again. cage folded. busted the stator cover and took a chip outa my engine casing. So...it's up to you.

What is the worse of two evils? I bet you if I just welded and retapped that left side engine mount (instead of being Lazy). The bike would be running.

All the people you listed above have sponsors, most of them got their cages free from FI, and get parts to replace what they tear up, and can afford to tear it up a little more than the rest of us 9 to 5 broke Sob's. When they got there cages the were the only cage out to!!!

So if someone gave you a free leather suit, would you wear it and tear it up on the track, of course you would, doesnt mean theres not a better suit out there does it????

I know that everyone looks out for their own interests, but creating a monopoly does nothing to help the consumer. It doesn't allow for competitive pricing or innovative research cuz there is no one to beat. In the end, although its not the end of the world, not allowing competition will only hurt the consumer, whom of which are the freestyle riders.

Here is whats left of my FI cage, its pretty much destroyed after a 12 gone wrong. It broke on the first crash, and I rewelded the bolt hole and replaced all the bolts but now its done.

Here where the bolts ripped out. Tim did offer me another cage at a discount, but if I buy another cage I will try another brand. Some brands are offering to replace there's if you brake it. The cage did do its job though, I didnt brake any arts on the bike on any crash.

i bet i could break one....once my bike dies i'll buy one, but only if someone actually tells us the mysterious price of them. no matter how much i ask or look, i can never find a damned price. now that's good business.

anyways, i can't use stock mounting locations because my motor mount is broke, 905 cage looks too hard to modify for me to use. the FI cage was easy to modify so i could use it in a different location.
