Re: Embarassing

1-first day riding 2 of my buddies were in front of me while we were stopped at a big hill for a light. Car full of hotties behind me and I stall no joke 3 minutes straight. Cars start passing me and laughin out the window and my buddies were in front of me just cracking up. I wanted to kick my bike over and walk home.

2-We just got eatin w/ some girls and they jumped in their car and me and my homie got on our bikes. Everyone pulls away and I can't seem to take off. Everytime I hit it to 1st gear the bike shuts off. They return a few minutes later and my friend waits for the girls to put their windows down to say "you ****in idiot you still have your kickstand down"

Jan 2nd, went riding with a friend, when I got back My bike was skippin a beat and I couln't figure out why, So I decide to take it around tha block to see if it cleared up (sure did) Made it all the way to the last steet before mine and I am comming down the street showin my @ss (wit Nuthin but a DRAG header) makin noise & quickshiftin made it all tha way to third and the rear tire started spinning out of control (the trottle got hung between shifts) and bodyslammed me for a 175ft Hyde to pavement ride with nothing but jeans and A Tshirt on in front of most of the ppl I knew on that road. But I got up and turned my bike off cause it was leaking oil and running wide open.

After 5 days in the hospital I go home to find out that one of the slides BROKE in the 4th carb and the throttle was hung 3/4 open.

Re: Embarassing

I havent seen this one yet so ill post up. The second day after I got my bike I went riding with a couple of buds. We were at a stop light waiting and messing around when I manage to hit the kill switch some how. I had traffic behind me as I was trying to start the bike. Finally figured it out after I pulled off the rode.

Re: Embarassing

spend 1100 to get 400ex fixed, rains so I get it out to practice slow stuff, clutch it up in first, going sooo slow.........that it dies and throws me over the front and I hit my head against the front bumper , immediatelu went to the basement and stripped away pipe insulation to zip-tie to front bumper for padding

Last summer we rode all day and get to the stoplight before we turn into a restaurant. My buddy reaches over while I'm not paying attention and takes me key out of the ignition and throws it on the ground as everyone takes off......had 20 cars held up behind me showing me I'm number one

I'm one block from school when a girl in my class pulls up next to me, I decide its a good time to roll a slow wheelie down the street...........there was KCPD right behind her, Pulled me over and immediately looked at my "10 things not to say to a police officer...." shirt and my new FTP hat neatly tucked into the strap on my passenger seat. I didn't realize this until RoboDike said she wasn't going to give me a ticket because I didn't use anything from my shirt.

From other post:
Walked into local BBQ joint on a Saturday night, wearing bright red "cop's lie"/"FTP" sweatshirt and red FTP hat......someone asked what FTP meant, stated it out loud, and went on. On way out payed more attention as it got quite while leaving thru same room.........turned and noticed roughly 20 local cops eating together..........quietly made my way to the door and got the hell outta there!

I'll ride tomorrow in the 50+ degree weather so I may have a new confession, esp. with my luck.

Re: Embarassing

two summers ago with the same bike...

1- had a habit of leaving the kickstand down then shifting into first and killing it. also getting used to a new bike and killing it by not giving enough throttle.

2- last summer-trying to squeeze every last mile out of the gas tank on reserve-tight on cash-still wanted to ride-went dry and died in a busy intersection.

3- riding with a group and some teenage dumbasses start squiding out and revving when we drive past people-I just broke off and rode by myself.

Re: Embarassing

Doing a rolling burnout to get my tires nice and sticky for some wheelies and I got rear ended by a car. You can't take traffic for granted.

Re: Embarassing

This thread is great! Okay time for me:

Nothing too too bad, but:

1) Last summer on my old '03 SV650S Bought new Joe Rocket Razor Gloves earlier in the day, Stopped at a light with a buddy kinda winking at some little **** by herself in a nice car, shes checking us out I'm acting all cool and trying not to be so obvious about looking at her so I'm playing the drums on my tank, get a little too into my beat and start tapping my foot.... I fvcking tapped it into first, bike lurches foward and I try to grab the bars miss them, don't want to damage the new gloves and fall right on my right side.. smoked my mirror off the ground and crushed my leg... buddy and girl laughing, new gloves are okay. I'm a fvckin moron.

2) Within a week, same buddy same bike.. Go around a corner really slow following 2 other guys and stall the bike.. fall right over. Just dumb. Like really who fvckin does that?!

I'm having fun now,.. what other stupid **** have i done..

3) Bein all squidly when I first started riding I was showing off little 1/2 foot baby clutch popawhoolies for some girls on a '92 ninja 250 thinking I was the greatest rider in the world.. it had just rained thought I saw the go to slow down for a yellow light and lock both tires and slide out into the intersection.. bike parts everywhere.. lol I was fine, but the worst part was the gurls came to see if I was okay and offered to take me for a coffee to relax.. I was so mad about the bike I refused.. **** had I been who I am now... I woulda streetfightered it right there and been happy! lol.. ahwell.. okay thats enough for now!

Re: Embarassing

I guess the other day.. I was being stupid cause I was all hype from getting my wheelies good so I was like hmm I'm going to try seat standers. I was gettinga couple up but not that high..Well one came up higher than expected and I almost flipped over the front when it came down hard. I didn't go down but it was close and I thought it was funny

Re: Embarassing

After a long pre-race Saturday practice (harescrambles) I rode my bike up a ramp into a truck bed, lost balance, rolled bike sideways over the side of the truck bed and the bike landed perfectly upsidedown on top of me. The whole pit row saw this, plus it was my pops truck, he was PISSED cause it dented the **** out of his truck bed! I didnt race the next day.

Re: Embarassing

Nobody's had the key in the intersection thing happen to them yet? When we're out being idiots, cruising around a busy area, everyone always pulls this stunt. At at redlight, you take the other guys key out, throw it about 30 foot into an intersection, and watch the person it happened to freak out. It's amazing when it happens to you, how you lose your train of thought.

Re: Embarassing

i was ridin one day this last summer and just gettin nutty on my bike...ridin over to meet my friends to go ridin after work....so im whippin along and get stuck behind a bigass dirt hauler on my favorite twisty road.....so i hit it around him when i get a chance and my back tire skims the gravel on the side of the road......i didnt go down or anything, but i thought about it and said to myself..that was dumb...i coulda gotten run over if i fell doin that.....so i get to my buddys house and he gets his bike out.....we do a turn around and i decide to do a stoppie, and he decides to do a wheelie....both started ok, but my stoppie didnt....i got a lil past BP and my bike booted me off at the intersection. I am on the ground looking up at my bike which is still on the front tire (6 o clocking)....and then it decides it wants to fall on me....my buddy is laughing by now, but jumps off his bike to help pick mine up and start it so we can get moving fast.....Now there are about 6-7 people in the road that ran from the gas station to see if i was ok.....sure enuf i was, but i was scrambling around the road to pick up my broken pieces....mirror and fromt brake lever....haha....so we go back to my buddys house and chill....smoke a few cigs, and our other friends taht we were goin to meet up with came over to ryans....they are all laughing at me and i had to laugh because i thought it was funny too...so i straighten out my fairing, and duct tape my brake lever back on....needless to say no more endos that day....the brakes really didnt work....

another time about a week later, i was leaving the bar we were all at and as we all this one "the cold tires got me...." i do a turn around at like 15mph and my bike just low sides out from under me.....i didnt touch the ground except for my feet and as my bke slides across the intersection im walkin towards it....rather funny, and glad to say that none of my crew in the bar saw a thing.....(NOTE: Stock turn sugnals make for excellent frame sliders)

Re: Embarassing

I rode over to a friends house that I have known since before kindergarden. When I was leaving, I tried to turn around in her driveway, but realized I wasn't going to make it, so I tried to turn the other way but it was up hill and I lost my momentum, cut the turn too sharp and dropped the bike over. So I try to pick it up (from the right hand side, which didn't feel correct) and swing my leg over and drop it again, only this time my pant leg gets caught on the peg and the bike takes me down with it! I was laughing so hard I couldn't get it off me!! That was the first time I dropped it, but I don't think she believed me.
Plus the usual stalling in traffic and then trying to make it look like there is something wrong with the bike.........

Re: Embarassing

the gas going all over everywhere on your bike happened to me the 2'nd time I ever got gas while riding a bike...I thought about it the day before it happened too saying I would never do it...
