Steering dampers-Rod or rotary better for stunting and WHY?

I have seen a bunch of threads on steering dampers and the choice is always about 50/50 split. Some say rod for kneedraging and rotary for stunt, but by far not conclusively.

Now, WHY is one better than the other for stunting.
Ready to buy one, but don't know which one to buy yet...

Thanks for any help.

well

personally, i rock an ohlins rod damper. had a scotts, but i always got headshake from that lil tiny bit of freeplay in the center, i adjusted it a million times to try to get rid of it but never got it to where i felt comfy. the rod dampers are a lot different, depending on the one you get. my ohlins is ALWAYS there! no freeplay anywhere, but it also isnt as stiff as the scotts was.... i dunno man, im thinkin bout gettin another scotts and runnin both... where one lacks, the other makes up for it... works for ryan (900 ft. stoppie yesterday) thew runs two also.... lata!
