frame question

I just parked my first 12 last friday. The next day i was putting a new rear brake lever on and noticed a 2 inch crack in my frame. it is right where the subframe connects to the frame. I have a couple guys that are willing to weld it. Is that going to be strong enough? ? thanks JOEJOE

binder you only can do that kuz you got a honda. GsxRs always do that ****. everyone should just go with HONDA that **** works no matter what. tell me when you find a way to break a honda except totaling it.

sweet...so your'e saying i have a bike that has been touched by the hand of god?

the most i've done to my bike is tweak the subframe a little...i did it when i did the avatar picture of throwing sparks, i came down hella hard to throw sparks but i was on an angle so it hit all on one side and tweaked it a little.....nothing a sledge hammer couldn't fix.

i know honda's are pimp. i hear about gixxer frame problems a lot. that and the imfamous lock up of the motor.

frame Question

I had this same problem, but I went a little extreme. I built a steel sub frame cause I cracked it I also had a 1/4 inch piece of aluminum welded on the side of the frame which is connected to where the sub is mounted, here are some pics [not the best pics in the world]. send me a pm for more info.

My gixxer frame bent at the head tube from dropping it hard. I am getting a honda next. I love my gixxer but honda seems like there r less things to worry about.

I broke my lower left tab for my subframe so I had it welded up and both sides braced kinda like mike's. Subframe is broke now from Daniel wrecking it but I got my new one today and it's getting braced liked Motopsycho's tomorrow. Should be gorilla scrapin by friday!

the 929 subframes are kinda weak. Ive seen my boys crack about 6 of em & they don't smash em that hard.

my 900rr subframe on the other hand, i have smashed that thing like a gorilla & it wont even bend.

if jesus stunted a bike - it would be a 900rr
