need a new chain
What size chain will be needed to fit a '97 GSXR 750 with 1 down and 5 up in the rear? will a 530 x 120 fit or a will a 530 x ? be needed?

Depends on your sprockets. the x 120 is just 120 links. You can buy more then you need and cut it down.
