why go with a bigger bike?

i see sooo many people rockin 600's,,, f4i, gixxers, all of them including the older ones...

i was just wondering why people would even want a bigger bike like the rr if you can stunt a 600 and still never be able to reach the limits of the thing on the road (or at least your not supposed to )

does it really make stuntin easier or what?

I just sold my 98 RR a few days ago (i needed the money to pay my credit cards) and in a few months i'll buy a gixxer 600 or f4i cause they're lighter and with the right gearing you can pop wheelies just as easy as with an RR.

i think it's coming around, a few years ago when every thing was highway/highspeed, you needed a big bike for stuff like windscreen/tankwheelies in second. now that everything is going to slower stuff there isn't as much of a need for a bigger bike. i wouldn't mind my f4i having about 10 extra hp/trq though. and now that the 929 is as light as a 600, why not rock with a little extra power.

another thing to think about is with the larger bikes comes better forks and suspension, brakes, stuff like that.

using the capablities on the street means almost nothing here,

i like rocking my friends gixxer600 because with less power it's not as twitchy, and it seems lighter, but in reality the 900's are now only about 10-20lbs or so more heavier (and when you add the fact that i'm only 140lbs, it's about even) so why not have the extra power. I do a lot of tank stuff so i need that to get me up. Also, i like 929's cause i had one and got comfortable on it. It has a stronger suspension like someone said. I'm thinking about getting an older f3 or something to stunt on also, beacuse of my size, even with a light 929 the f3 is lighter and easier for me to throw around.

i think it all just depends on what you come across. you get a good deal on a bike you buy it. that's what i did. 3700$ for an erion 929. only plastic damage. couldn't pass it up.

darius has an r1 but i do'nt think they hold up. they are made more frail than the gixxers and hondas. the subframes arne't attached very well and also from what my friends have told me they get mad wobble when they do highway wheelies....one of my friends had 2 of them and finallyg ot a 900rr and he doens't have problems now.

I just got a new bike recently (bout a week ago) And I’m really interested in stunting, I have a 2003 CBR600RR, I’m not really impressed with its low end power.. I've been told I can change up the gear ratio and get more power out of it, but I’m not sure what to do. I can't seem to find much information on setting up bikes for stunting. I'm New To all of this and any information anyone could offer me would be much appreciated.

My .I ride a 02gsxr600....10 up 2 down.It has 750 fork's and swing arm and 1000 brake's.I like the bike and I make it work....but when I get on my boys 1000 everything is alot easyer.Once you turn the idle up on a bigger bike like that you hardly have to work in a 12.They have so much power...all you need is brake....no throttle hand's are 10 time's easyer.I was working on front end grab's 4 ever on the 6.....got on my boy's **** and rocked them 4 as long as I wanted.1000's have so much room for mistake's.And the weight thing....I couldn't even tell.I really like my bike but if I had the chance to grab a 1000 I would be all over it.O'yeah 4 the guys who think there to small 4 a bigger bike....I only weigh 155 lb's...I'm skinny as hell. That has nothing to do with it.
