in loving memory of steve molmstead
Well to weeks ago a good friend of mine was riding home doing around 100 mph on some country roads. There was a sharp corner on his way home (45 mph corner). He went over a curb into a fence and died at she scene of the crash. The crash scene investigator said his front brakes failed. he had a new 600rr has anyone herd of problems on the 600rr's front brakes? Well there was a 30-foot skid mark from him hitting the back break so hard so there must have been something wrong with the bike. He was an experienced rider and I don’t think he would have just hit the back break. So that is the story. I lost a fellow rider and it sucks R.I.P Steve my heart goes out to all in who was close to him (jack, bryan, harley, grasshopper and all who knew him in Michigan)

R.I.P.
I've heard of strong tankslappers knocking caliper pistons back into the bore, making the front brake fail until you give a few pumps of the lever to push the pads back against the rotor. I've heard roadracers that always pump their brakes up after a tankslapper.

Well there was a set of railroad tracks about 50 yards back from where he went off the road. The investigator found one if his brake pads all the way back there?? I am confused on the whole thing but thanks for all the support!
