foot in bar 12's....unstable, i need help
ok, so again i go out to my park and start practicing my 12's with my foot in the bar....no luck. i've tried nad tried and tried. I can snap them up high and smash the tail on the ground but i can't bring them up and ride it out for nothing. it's very unstable and i don't know how to control it. I'm 5'9" and have short legs so when i put my left foot back in the bar i'm laying flat on the bike, which sucks cause i can't get away from the biek, i have a windscreen up in my face and everything.
I want to learn these so i can do one handers and stuff. Also it seems like it would be easier to balance and rock slow stuff. Every time i get it up, the thing pulls hard left or right or i get it strait up and it just wants to fall over. It's freakin me out. any tips would be appreciated.

do you have any problems going straight forever w/ just staggered footing on the pegs?
I spent a while getting those all straight and now it doesn't seem to matter where or how I stand or sit on the bike it just goes straight.
Like Dan says it just happens.
I feel more comfortable on the 12 bar because there's no load on my arms and it's like standing on the sidewalk I'm 5'10"

ya, that's why i want to do them, no load on my hands and stuff.
I don't really have a problem, i'm still working on getting my 12's for long periods.....i can't ride a 12 forever or anything.

I was in your same boat about a month ago..........
I was trying no throttle hand, etc. on the rear peg.... but there was too much pressure on my hands to let go....
The first couple of days practicing foot in the bar, was very unstable to the left and right..... felt like I was gonna wreck everyhtime I tried it.
then one day like Dan Said, it just clicked, and now I am rockin no throttle hand, and working on no handeds.
Mkae sure your left foot is in the the very left of the bar, that may help, if you are not already doing it like that.
Keep workin on it, you'll get it.

ok, i keep my foot all the way left and try to dig my knee into the left side of my rear seat (seems to help some).
i haven't gotten to the part where i'm using a lot of brake just yet. Most i've done is bring it back and almost drag tail but i was on the brake to set it down quick cause it felt like it was goign to just slam down hard on the right side.

I think you are on the right track..... It is frustrating though. I'm in the middle of trying to master the no handers myself. It is just going to take a little practice. I don't have the leaning problem though. Suggestion - when it starts to lean right or left, do circles!!! (lol)
Good luck bro - Don't give up.

Mine were wobbly at first. You just gotta get used to switching all your weight from the right peg(both wheels on ground) to the bar(up in the air). Just try to keep all your weight on your left foot once it's up. I had a problem with always drifting right because of that. Just like everything else, just gotta get used to it.
