who is responsible??????
hopefully todd, kyle, dan or somebody can help me out.
when people hire a stunt teams service to come for a show/ demo to perform. who is liable if a bike hits a spectator or property? is everyone becoming inc./ l.l.c./ ent. etc? we've done a few shows here in indiana and nothing bad has happened. but what if? how do you cover your ***?

In a situation like this, the "Sue'er" will hit every party involved usually...Lawyers will hit the tracks/event promoters/stunt teams/individuals, etc...Any angle they can hit, so if you are involved, WATCH OUT cause ****'ll get slapped on you in a second!!!
Sooooooo, either get some good insurance, or be VERY EFFING CAREFUL!!!
Seeing that most are incorporated, if one of your riders or someone there at your show decides to blow into someone, they will be comming for your company also...so this is why a lot of group owners have gray hair or no hair during these shows...lol...
This is where track performances are great, cause you are only endangering yourselves and your teamates...the spactators are in no way going to get harmed

I am not sure if becoming an LLC is a possibility, because personal assets are excluded from seizure. Only assets of said company. Just my .02

Usually event promotors already provide the neccesary insurance, although its recommended you provide your own insurance.
get a contract if possible....and waive your responsibilities in such cases.
but again, you should still provide insurance.

we had a local show here in town and once we started we had to stop cuz the police said the crowd was to close without protection, like those concrete barriers.... it was a waste of time cuz everyone wanted to see us ride, we had them back up but you know how it is, they just kept inching forward

ya, oppie, our show we did....i don't know exactly how much it was, but Harry (track owner) said it was an extra 200$ just for us to do that show on top of the regular insurance for the day.
Also everyone entering the drag strip had to sign a waiver that basically said insurance will cover damages and you can't sue for more or personally attack a person with a lawsuit.
also, we were on a strip so we had guard rails then the crowd was another 10 feet back from teh guard rail behind a 4 foot fence so it was pretty safe.
and dude, definately let me know if you guys are gonna do more shows, i want in on it.

your absolutely correct. Forming an LLC will only hold the company reliable, and prevents anyone from going after your personal assets.
