safety issue
I just watched the whack pack extreme days video and a portion of it kind of disturbed me. The part where they are doing long endos with people standing less than 3 ft away from the runway area. It looks like it is at a competition because of the concrete barriers on the sides. Please tell me that people dont stand in front of the barrier anymore at the comps due to the fact that its obviously very dangerous. By the way the video was pretty pimp and a lot of interesting wrecks. Only concern is the saftey. Im sure you fellow stunters feel the same about saftey as i do. Personally im not worried about myself or my bike at all but i never try to do anything that has to potential of putting anyone else in harms way.

I went to a show in Mansfield OH during the Mid Ohio race and they had the same setup. It was probably about a 20ft runway with people crowding in down each side. The only thing between the spectators and bikes was caution tape.
I thought it was real tv time..
Luckly nobody wrecked but if they would have taken out some kids it would have gave the sport a black eye.

a lot of time the track makes people get behind the barriers unless they are stunters that have signed the waiver. When i'm out there with the pros i feel no danger. I watch my *** and make sure i'm aware of where they all are at and i feel safe. Ryan from DV8 rolled one of his sick stoppies in michigan about 2 feet from me while i was video taping but i trusted he's good enough to not take me out.
BUT, i do worry about those stupid people that try to stand there and they don't stunt or pay attention. They really don't know the danger involved and don't know how to get away from an accident without dying...those people worry me and i make sure when i'm stunting i put them where i can watch their *** so i don't take them out.

Just pure luck that the bike didn't hit me.
Safety should be a huge concern, because everytime someone gets hurt, it is just another "I TOLD YOU IT WAS DANGEROUS"....
And if a spectator ever gets hurt or killed at stunt show, you better believe it will be all over the papers and stunt shows will be banned or so regulated by the government that noone will be able to afford to hire a team due to the insurance that will be required.
Don't get loose on safety.....It will kill the efforts that soooo many people have put into getting this established as a legitimate business and sport.
