Even though the 02' 1000 adjusts the idle automatically, there is still a manual screw that you can adjust the idle up and down with. The problem is that it is under the tank so you cant get to it easily for turnin the idle up for 12's. The 750 has the same screw, but since it has no auto feature they attached a cable to the screw and ran it out to where you can easily adjust it without pullin the tank up. This screw/cable assembly fits right into the 1000 rather than doing it the hard way like I did!!!
