i bought another ignition got it sent over from china for 50 bucks but the wires on the new one are black, black/white, green, and red. when i connected it the power turns on but the bike doesnt im sure its something to do with the fuel pump not getting power.

the old iginition switch got fried. but i noticed the wires are a different color on the oem ...pink, blue/yellow, etc etc .. and it also has a zener diode the new ignition switch doesnt?

what can i do with the new ignition switch to get it work is there anyway i can rewire it so the fuel pump can turn on??

 

Just run a hidden toggle switch and return that chinese thing

thx man i bought diode and resistor hoping to modify on that damn cheap chinese ignition so the voltage for the fuel pump can be right,,but even on the chinese ignition i dont kno which wire it is .... i cant return it becuz i cut it .,50 bucks down the drain

im gonna do the toggle switch temporarily...

 

It's the pink wire on the oem switch.
Voltage should drop to 9 vdc after you solder in the diode.
