03 636 fuel problems

Re: 03 636 fuel problems
When you key up the bike do you hear the pump prime?
Been screwing with 2 bikes with different problems with fuel for a couple weeks... plagued by different random problems.
Bike 1 would prime but not make it past 5-6000 rpm, hose was kinked and the pump was bad, wire was soldered onto lug outside of tank and connection was cut. previous shop put new ecu, throttle bodies and all kinds of stuff on unsuccessfully
bike 2 would cut off at 9000 then that was fixed with kick stand switch bypass, then it wouldnt idle right, one clip holding a piece on to the pump came off. Even though the bike primed and acted right before reattaching this piece it was causing vacume loss of the pump priming and looked like something else
Listen that your pump is priming, if it is take the hose off the fuel rail and see if it is flowing fuel at a good rate when you key the bike on, if not its prob fuel pump.
Hope this helps

ive done the new ECU ignition coils, spark plugs, tried two different fuel pumps, just tried to bypass the vehicle down sensor with a 100k ohm resistor and still nothing.
what is the correct way to check your fuel pump for priming/runnin voltages ect?
