rear hand brake

before I go spending money - I bet someone has tried this..

Has anyone tried to use a hydraulic clutch lever - using the single caliper method, i.e. piping in to the rear foot brake master cylinder?

I guess it would not have enough volume to build pressure for dual calipers?

I have ordered parts from the US and after shipping - which cost nearly as much as the parts and takes ages it seems + our tax into this country parts pretty much double in price... but in the UK the lever kits are far more expensive - not called Rip off Britain for nothing lol. Crap weather, no where to ride discretely and everything is expensive :-(

I figure - a slight pressure increase with scrub off some rear wheel speed, as my rear brake locks up quite easy, do I really want a super strong rear brake, I don't want to slam it down and bust the fork seals learning the slow stuff!

Pisses me off a bit - they are only a brake for the opposite side, I know they will never sell in bulk but they seem expensive here at £200+

any help appreciated :-)
