Re: a lil help for a beginer please

If your running a 12 bar dont be frightened of it looping out because it wont it will just run along on the bar.(so long as your not going fast ) If it does go to high when ya clutch it up from standing just let it hit the bar and run behind it until you can get it back under control and slowly stop with it on the bar. The 12 bar acts like a center stand. I guess your prob rigid and jumping off the back ??
Try not to use the throttle to much to bring it up just use the idle, try not to chase it on the throttle use the brake.
Getting the brake on a fiddy is def a good idea.
Good luck ! all ya need is seat time you will get it eventually

If it comes up to fast or to high just let off the gas and it acts like a brake and brings the front right back down.
On my 1000 same thing just normally a little slower cause you can just creap the front end up because you have almost twice the amount of power with only about 65 more pounds of bike weight.

Thats all me and that works for me. I can get it up in 1, 2, and 3 sometime this way. Have to very the speed depending on your sprockets and RPM's.
That is by far some of the dumbest advice I have ever heard.

nope catching idle is just a bitch to learn. Parking it on the 12 bar while learning is the way forward. Just try to do it in a controlled way.
Wot idle are you running?

Re: a lil help for a beginer please

I say learn slowly and gentle a little bit at a time, or you will spend more time healing than riding. But i am quite old and like the slow approach these days
2500 idle is ok but prob a bit easier when ya learning at 3k.

you think this is hard wait until ya try turning it in !!
