Re: 06/07 gsxr setup/mods

also removed servo from exhaust all you hve to do is take tail off and i got wrenchs in there with plastics on to get wires of servo on exhaust part then you just remove pin #30 on the black ecm plug it black with a brown tracer be sure to count because ther are two same color next to eachother its a 34 pin plug so it the 5th on back that makes it not throw a check engine light for not detecting exhaust servo taking out secondary butterflys tonight going to wait another week before i do the kleen air mod so its warmer out and the boots will go back on throttle bodies

Re: 06/07 gsxr setup/mods

because what the clutch is pulled in it acts as if these wire are touching eachother and it puts the bike in a "limp" mode which is like a zero map and when your pulling your clutch in and out doin slow wheelies it keeps the idle from acting different or if your like me the easy pull doesnt have a spot for the clutch switch but figured id show what i did ill have the secondary buttery fly removal all document along with clean air mod

I had to drill the plates out and took the stva off while doing it which was a huge mistake because it is wound like a spring and becomes off and never works right again without a headache, 10 beers and a good patient friend. Just FYI. Will be interested to see if it was worth the headache for sure
why did you drill them out?

the little phillips head screws strip out SUPER easy and I rushed it and striped them all out but then I just drilled the little screws out in a drill press and the plates slide right out

I finally got to test it out and I LOVE IT. instant throttle response. Very smooth and no herky jerky jumping around. much much much better and NO FI LIGHT!!!! very happy and probablly the best mod I have done so far for this bike

Re: 06/07 gsxr setup/mods

removed butterflys only got 3 of the 8 screw out woith a screw driver haha rest had to drill out and use a pic and magnet to make sure i got all the threads and metal shaving out but holy hell with out servo and butterfly thing does bog if your under 1500 rpm and give i a **** load of gas thats it haha the motor is crazy free reving in neutral u can crack throttle to 10 grand and it will fall right back down to were the idle is set no going up and down and being inconsistant like before love love love it can wait to make some slow wheelies makes it feel like more like and f4i motor just with more power soo smooth but hey who knows what long idle screw will fit in the stock idle adj. hole thanks

Re: 06/07 gsxr setup/mods

I heard that you can use one off an old srad or something and that they are the same thread. I had to rethread mine and used one off a 600rr.

Re: 06/07 gsxr setup/mods

Revive!!!! More power mods? Weight loss? Strength? I added a tre and liked that too but now I wanna lighten my tank up abit. Between the powers subcage and impaktech round bar and stay and fi cage this thing weighs a ton!

Re: 06/07 gsxr setup/mods

back from the dead!! any more tips? bout to setup dirt bars, rsc lever, and rear handbrake , and r6 throttle tube on my k6 600.
ive been reading around about the TOS and saw a couple threads saying that you have to jump the TOS with resistors.
so hows the glue in the TOS working for you guys?

also does any have pics of how to do the secondary throttle valve mod?

LETS KEEP THIS THREAD GOING!!
