yamaha 03 r6 tip sensor bypass
Hey guys, Ive been searching the internet for days on how to bypass the tip sensor for these r6 and found nothing so i just thought i would share with you on how to do it.
1- locate tip sensor- behind ecu look for something that says up( just like whats in the picture)
2- pull battery out, pull ecu a little out and remove the tip sensor with a 3 mm hex.
3- if you look closely at the sensor you would see a midline on it. use that as a guide when cutting it. i went about 5mm above it.
4- This is the catchy part. there is no right or wrong way to take apart the Sensor but this is how i did it my way. I took an ice pic and heat it up and i started poking holes into it gentle, remember there is a board inside with a pendulum you dont want to damage. So my guidelines to where u poke your holes and slowly cut the top of the sensor is showed in the picture.
remember the board of the sensor is closest at the two holes for screws. so you would want to start on the opposite side above the midline section and slowly go your away. I made a rectangle and start cutting across from between the letters U and P.
5. After you could clearly see whats inside, and as u move it you see the pendulum also moving due to gravity. Take some silicon and gently fill inside the sensor. Remember when filling the sensor make sure the sensor is on a level surface when filling.
This is not the best of pictures but this is how my sensor looked after. the gray parts is the silicon you can use that as a guideline on where to cut.
Im new to stunting and im getting there and i thought i would want to share this with other r6 stunters.

Re: yamaha 03 r6 tip sensor bypass
hey man I took the internals out of my TOS on my R6 and the little half-moon magnet inside spun around so I don't know which way it's supposed to face.. Do you happen to know?
