I rode a EX 500 for 2 years then gadiated to a 9dblR that I've had for 4 years now, glad I did cause the EX 500 throttle is VERY forgiving where the 9 isn't. Start small and learn the fundamentals then get stupid

750 is not too much, the bike will do what you want it to do.

A 600 will bust your *** too, it is just the way you ride it, a 2000 GSXR750 was my first bike and had never ridden one before that.
