Speedometer help!

My question is I have gone with different gearing in the front and back sprockets and now my speedo is way off and I am racking up the mileage right now, So do I have to recalibrate it?? How much will a shop cost or am I better off investing in one to do it myself? Or is there a way to bypass all this and cut some wires so it quits racking up my mileage. I dont have guages on so I dont care about keeping those. I ride an 06 cbr 600rr. Anyone that may have a good Idea let me know Thanks!

if the gauges are not on then why does it matter. I thought the speedo tach and odometer where all one unit on those bikes

yea if you dont have your cluster hooked up then it doesnt matter what your gearing is... if you do have your cluster hooked up and you wanna correct it for your gearing the only way to do it is with a speedo healer.... 12oclocklabs.com has the best and most user friendly one on the market

Re: Speedometer help!

Alright Sorry I should have just asked a more basic question Which I think you already answered but let me be sure.

If I dont have the guage cluster hooked up It will not keep track of the miles I put on? Or is there a seperate sensor that keeps track of the mileage, regardless if the guages are hooked up or not?
