600rr 12 bar

So my sick innovations 12 bar failed on me and i know they will replace it but i dont like the design because its weak and it bends so im asking what other companies make them for my 03 cbr 600rr? and what ones would u recommend? Besides 905, Ive seen what happens to there cages..

Re: 600rr 12 bar

so the strap that is circled in green twists which causes it to scrap on the bottom part of the plate so its pulling in the welds instead of sliding if that makes sense ..

Re: 600rr 12 bar

Is that a combo bar or a 12 bar

If it's the combo bar, I don't think its meant to be scraped

I don't know what a SI 12 bar and combo bar looks like for your bike, but it doesn't look like a 12 bar since the bar is angled where the front would dig in when you scrape...

Re: 600rr 12 bar

that snapped right on the weld, its prob not gonna happen again like that looks like you jus got a defect, **** happens every once in a while....

Towliee im thinkin that is a weird *** lookin 12 bar also, usually it scrapes the top part of the bar an not the bottom

It is there 12 bar not there combo bar, but it scraped flat the first few times i hit it but the strap(circled in green) twisted and it bent way up to where the front was the only thing hitting.. It use to sit right above my exhaust..

Towliee im thinking that is a weird *** lookin 12 bar also...
And ya i agree, It was just the only one i could find for my bike at the time..

dude thats really a 12 bar and not a combo bar?

Why is it angled to the rear doesn't scrape? The rear/upper portion of the bar never hit in the photo, it's never seen the ground.. The front/bottom portion, and about halfway up has hit

You know better then me that ****'s gonna dig in!

edit: I can understand after snapping the weld it's angled up even more.. but you can clearly see in the photo the rear/top portion never hit, the front/bottom portion was hitting first.. Unless it snapped and bent up before it ever scraped haha

That would be way cool if we could figure something out but i think some gussets would help but i dont think it will fix the problem.. I mean your the fabricator but i was thinking something like this would work the best. I know u were looking to have it come out the taillight hole but its not a big deal to me..

The reason the bar is the way it is verus the way you drew yours is with ours, you dont have to cut the tail. With yours, you would half to hack the tail up real bad. If you would rather one like the one you drew, call the shop and we'll swap you out for one like that. Im not on here much so make sure to call the shop.

Re: 600rr 12 bar

The upper rear hit the first time but it bent after that. I rode with it bent for like 2 months before it broke the welds.. But ya it would did in bad!

Re: 600rr 12 bar

1. flat bars are a thing of the past... bar tricks r stupid... save urself the headache of re-designing the wheel and get a round bar or use that sweet exhaust

Re: 600rr 12 bar

or you had it mounted wrong and didnt mount it with your bike at 12 to verify that it would scrape flat
