905

So i got a 905 cage on a 04 600rr. It seems hella low to me. It mounted right but when dropped the wheels come up in the air and drops towards the tank. Kinda like its top heavy. Any ideas on fixes or is this common. My buddys 636 w a 905 cag dosnt even come close to doing this.

Or an impaktech or A-Town.... But let's not get into another cage thread

But in answer to the original post, the only way to fix that is to replace the cage with a better one

i know different cages do different things and work better but i thought its because the 600rr s have lower mounting points. just my retarded 2 cents lol

very true. I think frame sliders would probablly hold up better and do less damage then that junk cage, do yourself a favor and sell it on ebay and get your money back. go with impaktech or sick innovations for sure, I have had EVERY cage made on my bikes and I can honestly say 905 ranks last place!

Re: 905

yeah so i love the 905 products but the 600rr cage is not the best design but its because of the mounting points on it... but yes there are better cages for that bike...

Re: 905

The mounting point is low. With the sliders, it should be fine. I've seen other companies make the mounting point part of the cage longer but all thats going to do is give it more leverage to strip/rip out/break the bolt or motor mount. And yes I've seen it happen even with a maintained bike.

not retarded at all my friend no matter what cage you put on the bike it will have its issues. some cages will move the impact point higher up the frame to stop the role up problem but it puts all the pressure on the week point of the frame and can cause the cage to put a big *** whole in your frame. that is y the 600rr is not a beginner bike.

Couldn't someone make a design to put the impact point higher while also not causing undue stress?
