07' gsxr stunted out.. but been havn trouble

so my 07' gsxr is geared, braked and good to go..... im used to being a freeway rider like most beginners but havent relied on throttle control much cuz i'd ride it slow as possible riding my rearbrake pedal.

but, I have a hard time gettin used to grabbing my "HANDBRAKE" lever.... I was thinking of gettin a pitbike to practice handbrake riding....cuz my bike bike is costn money.... when it goes down.... not at wreckless speeds... but its jus costy... any tips? should i get a pitbike for prcatice??? lemme know. im craigslisting **** right now lol

mahalo= thankyou, for your feedback really appreciated... its a whole dif ball game..seems like as soon as I clutch it, the torque still catches me off guard where i look to throttle control and not use my handbrake, if not ? i pull my brake too hard and sends me right down..

If your worried about your bike getting a couple bumps and bruises then you shouldn't be in this sport.your just going to have to accept the fact that the bike is going to take some hard falls when your learning. there is no way to get around it and if you can't come to accept that then your not going to progress

And if your learning first thing first dump that freestyle cage and get a sick or impacktech. You will destroy that freestyle cage in no time.

This^^^^^^. Mine put a hole through my motor mount. Either get a A0ton, Impaktech, or a Sick cage. They're way stronger and look much better than that POS FI cage.

Re: 07' gsxr stunted out.. but been havn trouble

Get a OMR subcage. I've seen nothing but good things. Haven't used one myself, but that's who I'm getting one from when I can.

Re: 07' gsxr stunted out.. but been havn trouble

Get an rsc ultimate clutch lever. It'll make switching fingers to handrake easier while learning. I always rock index on clutch and middle on handbrake. Practice doing Everything like that and it'll become easier. Practice practice
