Re: Atown Subframe help
This thing is driving me ****** bananas, i still cant get it to line up right.
if i have the tail in the right place the entire undertail is about an inch further back than the tail. ive already hacked a bunch of the battery tray off and it still isnt lining up. anyone else got any ideas

Re: Atown Subframe help
looks good so far but there is more trimming to do! take the tail off and trim the tray from right behind the battery to the end of the tail. from the back of the front seat to the tail light the tray should be flush with the bottom of the subframe. like i said your gona have to cut alot off the sides of that tray and push it up in there kinda hard.

and when you get the tail off take some pics with out the tail on so i can get a better look at what is going on underneath. you will get it man dont worry it will all be worth it in the end.

Re: Atown Subframe help
ill take a pic after class tomm, but if i force the tail and undertail together as much as i can it undertail bows, and its right at the crossbar. ive trimmed almost all the outside of the tray so it doesnt touch the subframe.

and to clarify to everyone, this isnt a product bashing thread. this thing is a tank and so is the cage. and ive gotten great costumer service. its probably all on my part

dont worry man the thing is not the easiest thing to put on by no means. hell i made the damn thing and it took me some hours the first time to get it all together. hear are some pics of what the cuts look like i dug them up from the archives. plus the undertail you have is it stock or aftermarket?

Re: Atown Subframe help
o and i didnt mean shove the undertail up i meant the battery tray!! ya dont shove the undertail up that is bad. is the undertail hitting any thing els besides the battery tray?are the wires getting in the way in the back? cause i remember i moved them on top of the tray when i did it.

no its stock undertail, and i knew what ya menat i just wanted to see how far. and i really noticed becuase i set the rear of the plastics first and they clip together. if that makes sense.
it hits on the cross bar that is under the rear seat
i cant find anywhere the battery tray is hitting, thats why im baffled. and all the wires are out of the way.

Re: Atown Subframe help
the cross bar? the one that holds the license plate in place? if that is the bar then hummm is ther any thing on the bottom of the undertail that is stopping it from sitting on the cross bar all the way?that is weird did you do any hard core burn outs with that undertail on at one point in time?
