Just give it time you will get it Just pound in your head that you need to use the back brake.. Thats +1... Between that and throttle control you will get it.. It just takes practice..

i'd say learn brake control on a 50, or a quad! I taught my friend (who i thought would never learn to wheelie) brake control in about 10 minutes on a quad..
After 3-4 wheelies he was bringing it behind balance point and jabbing the brake to bring it down

personal preferance, i prefered to crash slower, the gearing just lets you pull it up at a slower speed with less revs. but just stick with it. youll get it, takes alot of practice as with anything. hope you got a cage on it its the best money you will ever spend. just like condoms, dont practice without one

sliders are better than nothing. but if you're gonna stick with it, definitely get a cage.

The speed should not be a factor though If you dont get it close to BP at the start you need to be sitting it down and trying again anyways chasing the wheelie does not get you anywhere anyways...

My bikes geared and i love it... But i Started on a stock geared 636 and a 50... I Would have hated to start on a bike geared up like my F4i

Re: newb with a question

when i started it was on a gsxr 600 with a 60t sprocket and out on the ice with studed tires . i really didnt get anywhere with it till spring when i dropped the gearing. everything i have learned it was from just doing it and getting advise and riding with ppl who were better then me and willing to deal with a newb. i nvr did the 50 or quad thing, and for me to do wheelies and slow them down i started fast which i and most wont recomend, but thats wat i did was hit the streets when i couldnt nail the lot. got comfortable then just started hitting pavement, but to me stock gearing isnt bad but not wat i would keep. to me i would say get a cage, jump a few teeth maybe a 50 or 52 cuz to me i was a lot better with getting to bp smoother and safer then grabbing throttle and letting it fly to get there

I say he should stick with stock gearing. I wish I would have learned on a different gearing than what I did. Stock gearing will be plenty. My buddy Jeremy from out in Lubbock could rock circles no prob with stock gearing.

Damn dude just saw you said you didn't have a cage and just watched your video of you loosing it. Man hold out and get a cage on that thing before you really **** some stuff up and want to kick your own ***.

Re: newb with a question

ok so i dont think anyone has said this yet but run your tire pressure in the teens it will stable out the bike. also does your bike have all the gear it needs because **** i've gone through the wanting to learn real bad and wrecking bikes... i wouldn't do it unless your bike is set up for it.. as for everything else seat time is whats gonna do it like everyone else says
