HB ?'s
ive used the search function plenty and didnt find the answer im looking for.
i have the FT adapter on my brembo rear MC and steel line, but now i need a radial for the HB.
the whole 13,15,16x18 thing confuses me but my real question is, is there an oem radial MC that will give me no worry, one finger operation and what year/make/model of bike should i be looking to get one off of?
TIA

Re: HB ?'s
most like hb on bottom but there is a few rockin it the other way...you will never be saticfied w/ you hb untill you go w/ a four piston caliper no matter what mc you use my experience w/ oem masters is that they are rock hard when bled out, i dont like that....i think brembo 16x18 or magura are where its at!

Re: HB ?'s
i understand that brembo and magura are the way to go but i got change burning a hole in my pocket not $100 bills.
so i would still like to know which oem works the best?
i will get a 4 piston on as soon as i can.

Re: HB ?'s
i have a frembo...been rockin it for a year and a half! i know ppl say they are garbage, but i used to run a stock m/c fo hb and i never had enouph brake power, high chair pow pows for days....the same day i put the frembo on i was scrapeing high chair....so you decide.... i still run the same master and im learning spreader 0's and 50/50 0's..... im just sayin this is my experience.... i have heard of ppl getting them and them not working good but mine has been money!!! i only paid like 50 bucks for it on egay.... search 16x18 brake master and there will be a bunch of them...you will know its them cause they are cheap...lol im not telling you that you should buy one but i did and it has been great!! by the way the feel is awsome too

Cmon beardo, you really think you must run a 4 piston to ever have a good strong hand brake, then you also recommend a frembo?
With a good quality master that matches your caliper, you should be able to get a pretty ******* strong hand brake from a single piston caliper..
At the same time, a 4 piston with a mediocre master could still give a lot of breaking power, as long as their piston sizes work together..
But of course, a high end master + 4 piston = tons of power + tons of feel
I run a 1000rr master right now to a junction valve on my f4i, not the best setup, but works for now. I have my lever cut too short though, I need a new one and I'd have a lot more braking force.
I want to upgrade to a 4 piston and keep my 1krr master though

Re: HB ?'s
I was just letting him know that you can have pretty nice setups without a quad piston, but quad piston is definitely the boss setup!
I want a nice master, but $200 is a lot for a master when I have a $60 1krr master

Re: HB ?'s
Just get a 16mm Brembo or Magura and be done with it imo, and youll never look back. and youll have confidence in your rear brake. Being sketched out about "ohh i hope it works when i . . . . . .ahhhhhh **** (insert broken neck here)" and youll look like a dead buzzard on the street after you loop out.

Re: HB ?'s
I have a nissin 3/4 radial on my f4i, same one on gixxers, kawi's. theyre all over. They work really good with a 4piston, and the 16x18 brembo isnt much of an advantage over it when ran to a 4piston. It all depends if your bike has good fresh fluid, ur rotor is in OK shape, and your pads are relatively new. U can go ride someones bike with the best setup in the world and it could be terrible cuz they dont take care of it. The radial stock brembo's are supposed to be good, and i really like the way they feel. Right now on my kawi i have a brembo 19x18 linked with a stock fb and a 4pot added... its got good power n feel.
I did HC O's for dayz on my f4i with a stock gixxer radial, so dont let em tell u they dont work good...
when picking a hb u need to think about how much brakes u will be pushing with it. A 3/4 radial nissin is a 19mm. Bigger piston means a stiffer lever, but less lever travel to get your power. THe more pistons u push the more power you get but the more lever travel as well. A 13mm magura has TONS of power without pulling hard, but they are soft, cuz it takes more lever travel to push a certain ammount of fluid. So if u plan on linking it to multiple calipers your gonna end up pulling the lever to the bar.
Best starting place is a gixxer or r6 front master, and get a 4piston soon as possible...
