Re: AnyOne Have an 09 ZX6R

Cages for that bike I have no clue about. The size of the chain is really irrelevant to the size of the sprocket. People use the 520 chain b/c it's less rotating mass for like racing and stuff. For what u want to use the bike for 520 or 525 is fine, it's not gonna make a difference.

i get confused about chain and sprocket sizes...... i bought a 525 sprocket and it was too wide for the chain... and i dont know what size i need...... i had to grind that **** down so it would work... took forever ....... the bike is geared -1 +5....

Seriously???you ground your sprocket down???You win the "retarded ***** rig" award of all time.

520 chain is only used on 520 sprockets, its basically how wide the sprocket is and the inside diameter of the chain so it will mesh with the sprocket.
525 is bigger/thicker sprocket=thicker 525 chain is needed

It's not brain surgury.

i understand that a 525 chain takes a 525 sprocket...... same with the other sizes....
i just didnt know if a 520 was bigger or smaller.......
i got the sprocket from hai (i have a thread about it) and it took forever to get it and it was too wide....well when i gotit, hai website was down.. it said it was no longer in use.... so i thought i was **** outa luck....tried to contact and didnt get a response... another shop would not trade me so i had to make do with what i got.... after i did it hai was back up and running..... i fucked myself hard i should have been more patient

Fa sho OMR. I mean what's the worse case scenario, he ends up breaking a couple teeth off the sprocket.
