Dual 4 piston caliper set-up for the 05/06 636?!
Is it really necessary? I mean, I like the 4 piston caliper for my handbrake, that's a fact and a must! I can imagine a big rotor kit would even be nicer, but is the stock foot brake from an 05/06 kawi that bad?? Do you really need a 4 piston caliper for that as well?
I want to get feedback from a couple of guys who try'd this set-up...
Looks like it would be hella hard to dose a nice coaster or anything like that, specially in combination with a big rotor kit?

imo, best setup is a dual 4 piston linked on the HB. SOLO on the FB. If your FB has too much grab for you, use a grinder to put horizontal lines in the pad. This will TUNE your FB to where you want it. imo.

stock rear kawi calipers suck , you will get used to the 4 piston ..
i would rather have too much brake and only use what i need then to not have enough when i need it ..

yep, and stock kawi pads suck even worse than the caliper does!! I had to stand on my FB to get anything outta it. EBC HH are much better, but cali does suck.

it's not the pads that suck it's the caliper , oem pads are awesome they are very consistant ant last longer than ebc's ,double h pads eat rotors and work diferently when they are hot than they do when they are cold

im tellin u, it didnt do anything with stock pads... maybe they were lemons. but other riders ON HERE have riden my bike then and now. LIterally you jam down on the pedal, nothing. took probably 100+ lbs of force to get it to lock it up. Changed my pads, much better. Bike had 300 miles when i got it, looked like the back brakes had never been touched.

i have a 2piston gxr caliper for my footbrake on my 636 and a 4piston honda for a footbrake on my f4i , imo i think the stock rear calipers just suck . doing coasters isnt a problem

some on who i cant remember at the moment said think of how much power your front brakes have ,if you pull your front brake lever to the grip it would flip your bike but you just use as much brake as you need and you dont flip over right ?
