Stunting on 900rr a good choice?

Re: Stunting on 900rr a good choice?
the 03/ 04 636 is 122 at the crank and 05/06 is 130 at the crank.
954 is 132 at the wheel. at 430 lbs wet. Thats a great power/weight ratio
900RR is 118 at the wheel.
I got my 900 in 2002, **** runs as good today as it did back then. Its a heavy bike, but fun to ride.

Re: Stunting on 900rr a good choice?
holy **** I gotta chime in
You sir are smokin some good ****.
900RRs are good for 120 or so rwhp.
954 are at least at 135+rwhp
636s are great but they are maybe 115rwhp and way lighter. This is no google bs, i'll look it up and post back up. I think i'm pretty close with those figures.

Re: Stunting on 900rr a good choice?
every dyno, every site you look at is gonna be different. horses mean nothing when it comes to this stuff. i mean im on an f4i for god sakes...its the slowest bike on the planet ,but does what i need it to do.

Re: Stunting on 900rr a good choice?
Horses dont mean **** as long as you have the know how, to dump a clutch hard enough to get it to the right spot. People rock wheelies on 49cc mopeds/50stunters, and people rock wheelies on 2000cc cruisers. You just have to know how to do it. My first street bike was a 929 I was fortunate enough to have a first bike that wheelied so well and so easy. Im not great, and in my mind im not even good. I can hang a 5 or 6 mile wheelie till I get tired but I bought my f4i, and ive tried and tried to get good at my slow walks, I can do them, they arent pretty haha. I work alot, and I travel alot. I'm on the road 9-10 months out of the year and I try to get to a parkinglot as much as possible but its hard when you dont have motivation. When I first started riding I had a friend that bought his bike no more than 2 weeks before me. All we wanted to do was wheelie, so thats all we did. We rode up and down the same country road a 1000 times a day haha. But now its like everyone is either way better than me or has no interest in learning slow ****. And I learn best when someone else is learning with me cause when you have two people together they feed off each other. it helps alot.

Re: Stunting on 900rr a good choice?
im not smokin nothing. go on www.factorypro.com then on the left side of the page in the scroll window 3rd one down click on true horsepower and read the whole thing about true hp then look at the results i my have been wrong about the 636 putin out more power then the 954 but its only about 10hp off with the 954 at 120. but the 636 def puts more hp then the 900rr. the 900rr tops out at 94 hps. FACTS not fiction
You don't ride around a lot at 14,000 RPM's so the fact that the 636 makes more HP at it's high RPM peak has absolutely no factor on how it performs at lot RPMs. Take a look at the HP or Torque that it produces at 2,000-4,00 RPM's.

true scenerio- 2001 /me on my 900 1997(918cc)runnin perfect/my friend on his new 2001 f4i. 3 near quarter mile drags. all three times he nudged me in the quarter. i blew by him just after the quarter, but he did get me in the quarter. one other time i got him.
point- the 900 and 600 are pretty even, it boils down to three things. how quick a motor will spool up,weight dispersal and carburation vs. injection.
lets face it the 900's pretty heavy up front, doesn't spool up very fast initially, and cuts out sometimes in wheelies. three thing not good for stunting, its a great street killer though
that said i loved my 900 and i love the f4i. see a theme here..psst honda

Re: Stunting on 900rr a good choice?
had a 900 5 years ago and loved it. here are the problems.runs like **** even cuts out when low on gas.when doing idle wheellie most of them leak gas, dew to the carbs, the floats are not adjustable,so they close and gas pours out the vent tubes. i might still have it if i could of fixed this.honda said put new floats in it. i ordered them and they are probly still on back order.bike wont leak gas unless your in the parkin lot on the idle.
