the 05 R6, 06-09 R6, 04-09 R1 MC's are manufactured by brembo, they are 16x18 bore, but they are no where near as good a $300 after market like mentioned above. although in my opinion the R6 05+ (not R6S 06-09) / R1 04+ radial MC's which are made by brembo are one of the better stock raidials to use (when useing a stock MC off a modern sprotbike).

There's a minimal difference between the 16mm Brembo that comes on the R1/R6 and an actual 16x18 Brembo. I switched from the 16x18 to the 16mm R1 Brembo and didnt really notice that big of a difference. The 16x18 was a little more responsive & twitchy using it with a 4 piston caliper but thats about it - they both have pretty much the same stopping power IMO

ive never personaly compared the AF brembo 16x18 to the R6/R1. but i had heard from multiple people, try my bike and say compared to there bike with one and they noticed a difference. ive also heard from a couple peeps that they cant tell much differeence on a proplery bleed goo set up. but theres way too many varriable for me to campare them jumping from bike to bike. you would need to prob do the comparison the same day, and use a R6/R1 and a AF brembo back to back on the same bike with as indentical to possible bleed
