It covers you hitting ANYTHING, a driving car, a parked car, a building, a fence, a person.

You're 20 years old, so liability alone should run what, $200-$400 a year?

If you can't afford that, how do you plan on paying to fix someones car if you hit them?

+1..21 with 1 speeding ticket on record. i pay 219 a year for liability. i will happily bay that, because I know if i hit a car or something, it will easily cause a thousand or 2 grand in damage. stop being a cheap *** and just get the insurance.

think about it this way. i can save 220 a year by not buying insurance. now if i hit a car and cause 1000 in damage, that was nearly 5 years worth of insurance that i could have paid and not worried about it. next they are going to fine me on top of that, and that will be a pretty hefty fine.

riding with no insurance is like using the pull out method with sex. its all great until an accident happens and she gets pregnant. then you will wish you had it.

again, get in a wreck and they find out it isnt legit and all that money you just save got more than pissed away.

and i just keyed in a 2003 r1 for insurance on progressive and it came up with 241 bucks. now that doesnt take into account any violations that you have had. If your record is clean, i STRONGLY suggest you go to a different company

it all depends on how many violations you have had and the severity of them. location also plays a small part in it too

hit up progressive.com I just keyed in what info you gave me and it tossed back a rate of 198 a year for liability. thats also saying you have no years riding experience, your bday was yesterday, you didnt take the msf course, and you live in an apartment/parents house/not your own house.

Would you want to try and pay that out of your pocket for the rest of your life when the person sues you because you didnt have insurance? Or would you rather have the insurance company get sued to recover loss of wages, medical expenses, pain and suffering, etc? Insurance protects your *** big time in the event of an accident where someone gets severely injured.

at 23, 3 points, liability on my 05 gsxr 750 i pay $175 a year. my car n truck are $73 both per month. i remember E-Rack when he got hit n the guy he registered his 929 under for insurance didnt get it. lawyer got med bills wrote off, lawyer at his dads work said hed be lookin at $1.5 mil cus of how bad it was, u guys may remember he was claimin some off the wall stuff his head got rattled, but wen the ink dried he got the limits of the other guys insurance, $50k, bout $30k after lawyer fees. a better lawyer may have been able to do better for him but he had the issue that his insurance wasnt right, hes messed up for life n not much to show for it. yeah, get insurance, even if its one of those small companies, u can be a great rider n never cause n accident, but E-Rack got ran down from behind by a truck in a huge group. n u cant avoid what you dont know is comin, but insurance can make sure ur not screwed for ur outcome of it.</p>

Idk how I was gettin 800 everywher els but I found a place to give mee 280 a year so I took it even tho I don't agree with all these insurance laws and considering I can only ride. For 6 months in ohio so its like payin over 500 a year but whatever law blows should be cheaper

It's way cheaper than that. I have had a bike since I was 15 and never paid more than $150 a year for liability, even with a fucked up driving record. Progressive has always been the cheapest for me when all I need is cheap liability coverage.

Re: general insurance question!!!! HELP??

State farm wanted $1500 a year from me for liability at 17 years old with one wreck on my record
Geico wanted $1100 a year
Progressive said my record was too bad to even insure me?! All I had was one not at fault accident, and a no insurance no registration ticket on my record..

I went to some local power sports insurance place, $340 first year $240 second year, I had never been insured before this

All the big places were OUTRAGEOUS when I got a quote, so I don't even bother calling them anymore. I just go to the small power sports place and get cheap insurance

Simply put, insurance, money, insurance pay, each month, stunt, 30, company, insurance. Sorry, i just wanted to copy that ^ quote cause everyone else did
