Re: Stunt crf50 vs crf70 vs X18 pocket bike??

Just shop around till u find something and get it. Its about what u prefer. If u make up ur mind on, for instance, a ttr50 and u may b looking for a long time while u pass on crf50s or whatever that are equal good if not better. Just buy something and if u dont like it sell it and step up to a bigger bike. Dont spend all ur time agonizing over the little things while u could already b riding.
In my opinion it doesnt matter what uv got so long as the wheels are turnin
*says the guy with the broke dick gixxer haha*

Re: Stunt crf50 vs crf70 vs X18 pocket bike??

Is the 50 really that much better for stunting than the 70? I plan on getting a big bore kit for either bike.. I hear the 70 with the big bore kit is badass.. But you seem like u know what your talking about.. Why do u think the 50 is better than the 70?

Also if I do end up going with the 70 where can I get a set of street tires? I couldn't find any on 50stunt for the 70 or maybe I was just blind.. Does moorport rock the stock 14inch rim an tire in the front on his stunt 70 or is he ridin with 12 inch tires in the front and rear cuz I found rear tires for the 70 just not the front..

Get a fiddy. Don't mess with the pocket bikes. I had an x12, put pegs on the rear axle, just turned out to be a pocket bike with more crap sticking off it.Fiddy fiddy fiddy. Everything for them is cheap- unless you want something like a big bore kit- which is a good idea. Local bike shop, if the guy know his stuff, can find you tires for cheap. No big. And lots of stuff you can build yourself- 12 bar, rear pegs, etc.

its all up to you but i would go w the fiddy! i got a ttr 50 and i love it bc its small and can take it anywhere! i had a ttr125l and was a fun bike but its bigger and prob be better to transition between that and big bike! def stay away from pocket bike(POS)!

do you shop for sport bike tires at a stunt shop? NO! You go to a tire shop haha

I will say this, stock 70 SUCKS ***. There isn't enough power. You probably wont like it in stock form. Whereas the 50 has 'enough' power for its size..
The 70 has only slightly more power, but a lot more size, so it makes it hard to ride. Plan on wanting a 88 kit ASAP if you get a 70

the X-series pocket bikes are junk. in fact, I wouldnt reccomend any pocket bikes for stunting unless you're a midget or a kid. the good pocket bikes are fun to rail around on... but get a 50.

the real deal pocket bikes will set you back at least $1200

Re: Stunt crf50 vs crf70 vs X18 pocket bike??

Lol at first I was leaning Towards the 70 now it seems like more people are telling me NOT to get the 70 an rock a fiddy..An thanks for that link toweliee an the reason I went to 50stunt is cuz I was told that they have everything I would need to stunt a 50 or 70.. But anyways as of right now I think I'm gonna go with the 50 since everyone seems to be some what against the 70 an how it performs.

just before yall start trashing the china bikes (they are not the best things in the world) but you can still get some use out of em, here is a friend of mine, has a 140 in his.

and if your looking for cheap, its the best way to go.

young kid, but proof, you can rock an x bike, (just be prepared to fix everything after you drop it) i used to race them as well.

Re: Stunt crf50 vs crf70 vs X18 pocket bike??

Lol ya I heard nothing but bad things about the pocket bikes so those are out of the question.. Most people say get a 50 but still people are telling me to rock the 70 cuz once it's done and I have it down it's alot better than a 50.. I'm talking to moorport right now about buying his 70 so if I can get a decent deal on his 70 I'm probably gonna pick that up asap lol.. It's a well put together bike and I won't have to do anything to it.. But I'm still looking around and doing as much research as possible on the 50 and 70

Re: Stunt crf50 vs crf70 vs X18 pocket bike??

I have a couple of 50's and one 70. My 70 is stock and is heavy as **** to stunt with. I stunt a 50 bone stock. I have more bikes then money to be putting it into the engine. But my next thing is def a 88cc or 107 stroker kit.

I am 5'7 177lbs. A fiddy will work for you. But once you start stunting get a 70. That is what i did.

I have 3 50's
one 70
one rnz450
and a honda crf450

all made for stunting.

So all in all your saying a 50 would be better for a beginner but get a 70 after your a little more advanced cuz it takes more skill to stunt?

Honda CRF80 or XR80, small enough you wont get hurt, large enough to make it easily controllable, it has a clutch, and enough engine brake to circle stock without a handbrake. clutch is a big plus, I got to have a clutch. plus you'll get your clutch work down on the little bike before going up to a bigger one. And they're built like a tank.

Re: Stunt crf50 vs crf70 vs X18 pocket bike??

I found a stock 04 70 for $700 or a 04 crf50 for $600 an it has takegawa 88 big bore kit but no race head, upgraded front and rear suspension. Pro taper bars, rev box, upgraded clutch springs, bigger carb, and fmf exhaust..

Re: Stunt crf50 vs crf70 vs X18 pocket bike??

My final two choices are a Stock crf70 for $700 or crf50 for $600 with takegawa 88 kit without racing head, black rev box, heavy duty front and rear suspension, pro taper bars, 20mm carb, after market throttle, Heavy duty clutch, and fmf exhaust..There both hella nice but the 50 is bada**
