still problems with motor mount, broken bolt in it now

ok, so i got the form-a-thread stuff and put it in the hole and put the blue stuff on the bolt that lets the bolt come out, i let it dry, went to take it out and the bolt is now stuck in there. I started moving it out a little and SNAP....grade 8 bolt snapped off in the motor. I guess i'm going to have to drill it out.

I was looking, i think further up on the right side of my 929 motor mount there is a flat spot i could drill a hole and put my slider/cage there instead of on the motor moutn so then i won't have ot worry about the motor mount AND it'll be closer to the frame so it's stronger. anyone having problesm with this also? i just want it fixed before the comp this weekend.

maybe you can ask dirty b where he connected his b/c i know his right side motor mount was destroyed and he mounted his cage somewhere else on the engine i believe.

i was thinking about right about that to tap a hole there and somehow mod the cage to mount the slider further up there. the shop here is going to fix it tonight i think.

You didn't happen to mention if the bolt broke off flush with the front of the mount. If it did do that, you could tack weld a a rod or something similar to it and then use a pair of vice grips and grab onto the welded on rod and then twist the bolt out. Might work, might not, but thought I'd mention it.

That can be risky in aluminum, works great in steeel though. Man, take a **** and turn the horse shoe over before you put it back in cause it shure is upside down.
