Upper Trim...

So i am painting my upper and i had to cut/trim let me know what you think i should do stick with the old or try the new one

idk man i never flipped my tripple on my 636's i never found the need. i just hate the look of a hacked up upper, may as well run streetfighter. but idk they both look kind crappy but i guess if i had to choose id prob choose the first one...

Naw a drimal and a cutting wheel...the plastic just gets hot and melts up like that...

I know Ive only cut about 40 of them....LOL Just poking fun at your melted edge....

You should try using a fine tooth hand saw, and finish up with sand paper...

I always prefer to cut off as least as possible, basically just as much as you need to get the clearance you need for you bar/lever setup...

I think the first cut is too short, and the 2nd is a little too rounded at the top...IMO I would probably go with the 2nd cut and just make it a little less pointy at the top...
