Does this happen with a new filter? Some filters come with a bypass valve in them so if you don't change your oil and the filter gets clogged, the oil will bypass the filter.
Have you tried changing filters. I have an 04 636 and have smashed the **** out if it, never had this happen. I run the K&N filter and have had the stock one as well.

Just something the think about, it's a cheap thing to try.

If you dont got the tip over sensor bypassed your good cause it turns off.
But if it stays running on the left side and you dont got the clean air mod you can hydro lock your motor

Than again, I haven't had a cluster for 3 years either. LOL My bike never overheats even when the water is steaming out of it.

I've never heard of that. do you loosen it while it's running and "bleed/prime"" the filter?

Re: oil light staying on after i drop my bike 05 06 636

IDK, try changing the filter. I just can't think of anything that would CUT off oil pressure. I wonder if there is something that is messing with your oil pressure sensor and when you filter trick it, that purges the blockage away from the sensor.

strange wither way.
